I’ve been using this controller mainly on PC to play classic Sega games and a variety of fighting games, including older Street Fighter titles and newer Tekken releases. While I haven’t tested it with the Sega Mega Drive Mini yet, its performance on PC has been outstanding. The wireless connection is fast and reliable with no noticeable lag during intense gameplay. What stands out most is the D-pad — it’s one of the most enjoyable I’ve used for retro and fighting games. I’m able to pull off special moves with precision and consistency, which really enhances the experience. The controller feels well-built and thoughtfully designed, especially for those who appreciate the classic 6-button layout. Battery life has been solid and the included USB receiver makes setup easy. If you’re looking for a retro-style controller that delivers modern performance, this is a great choice.

Bought it for my Sega Astro City Mini V and it works like a charm. It was easy to use. Plug and play. There is no button or switch to turn it off and it turns off by itself within 15 minutes of inactivity. I don't know if that wastes battery, but I would much prefer to physically turn it off when I can. Buttons feels great. D-Pad is pretty good too. Feel really good in the hand. I love the white color, but of course you can get a black one. Best thing about this is that it's wireless, unlike the official ones that you can buy for the cabinet. Now I can play the games on TV or on the cabinet without having to sit right next to it with my hands in the way because I have to use the built in small joystick and buttons on the cabinet itself. Totally recommend it and totally worth the moneyh.

This should of been the pack in controller for the sega mini, due to some of the games (street fighter 2, virtual fighter) needing a 6 button layout instead of the 3 button. It works great, very responsive, easy to charge, and the face buttons feel a lil different so you know where your fingers are at over the controller buttons. If I have a problem with this controller, it's that the 6 buttons on the face are a lil too close together. So it's easy to press the wrong button because they are too close together. Other then that, no other problems.

Horrible controller

I recently got my hands on the 8Bitdo M30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad, and I've been thoroughly impressed with its performance, especially its compatibility with the MisterFPGA project. The easy pairing and very low latency allow for a smooth gaming experience reminiscent of the classic Sega days. The 6-button layout is a nostalgic touch, and the wireless connectivity ensures that gameplay is uninterrupted and free from the constraints of wires. I appreciate the inclusion of the Turbo Function, even though it's unavailable on the Switch. The built-in rechargeable battery is a great feature, ensuring that I don't have to constantly swap out batteries during intense gaming sessions. The attention to detail and care in the design is evident, making it one of the highest-quality retro controllers I've come across. The package also includes a 2.4G receiver and a USB cable, which is a nice touch. However, I deducted a star because I feel the controller could benefit from some ergonomic improvements for extended gameplay. But that's just me and may not apply to you. Nonetheless, if you're a fan of the MisterFPGA project and are looking for a controller that offers both nostalgia and modern features, the 8Bitdo M30 is a solid choice.

Nice controller. Light, solid. Works fine with my Nintendo Switch, I like it for games like Mario.

Come da titolo è una bomba. Ho scelto questo anziché l'F30 per i pulsanti in più da usare con il core genesis/mega drive, ma si comporta egregiamente con tutti. Un pò laborioso l'update del firmware che trovate sul sito di 8bitdo, scegliete ovviamente la versione 2.4ghz genesis mini, scaricate il file zip e scompattatelo. A questo punto dovrete premere contemporaneamente R e L e dopo start. I LED gialli e blu si accenderanno (occhio che si vede male il LED giallo, meglio farlo al buio) e potrete collegarlo al vostro PC windows. Fatto questo aprite l'applicazione, cliccate avanti e aspettate che l'update sia finito prima di chiudere tutto e disconnettere il controller. Per collegarlo alla dock pigiate il pulsante dietro di essa, sul controller pigiate prima start e poi per 3 secondi select(il tasto di mezzo). Vedrete il led blu fisso e sarete connessi alla dock, buon divertimento!

Me ha parecido estupendo por tacto y calidad de los materiales, lo que no me ha gustado tanto ha sido la cruceta, aun así de mas calidad que la del mando original, de Astro City Mini, para mi muy importante la compatibilidad con Astro City mini, ya que a estas alturas es difícil encontrar el pad original para jugar con ella conectada a la televisión, me ha recordado al mando de Saturn, yo tuve una hace tiempo y me ha recordado al mando de Saturn, por tacto y calidad de materiales, 8 Bitdo, apuesta segura. Lo recomiendo 100% para Sega Astro City mini, va genial la pequeña prueba, que he hecho,me ha gustado la calidad, el tacto de los botones,la cruceta no tanto, es opinión personal, el recorrido de la cruceta se me ha antojado largo, pero se puede jugar a un buen shooter. Edito 01/25 lo he estado probando en mi Megadrive mini1 y va estupendamente, ya los juegos de lucha no son problema por la falta de botones.

Für Arcade games, STG's, Run n Guns und Platformer eine exzellente Wahl. Das D-Pad ist groß und komfortabel, nicht zu schwammig oder zu hart, sondern genau richtig. Das Feedback beim drücken in verschiedene Richtungen ist klar und befriedigt, wodurch präzises Movement kein Problem ist. Dasselbe gilt für die Buttons. Insgesamt liegt der Controller gut in der Hand (und meine Hände sind nicht gerade klein) und ist schön leicht, aber trotzdem solide verarbeitet. Ich habe mich für das 2.4 Ghz Modell entschieden weil Tests zeigen, dass die Input latancy ganz klar geringer ausfällt als beim Bluetooth Modell. Gerade bei STGs ist eine möglichst geringe Eingabeverögerung wichtig. Darüber hinaus ist die Verbindung stabiler als Bluetooth. Alles in allem ein Must Have für Leute, die STGs und Arcade-Action auf ihrer Switch zocken. Top.
