Edit: one of them got stuck being on, it was only carrying a 15Watt light fixture so no way I overloaded the relay cobtacts. All the LCD controls are working but it will not turn off the supply even when I set it to off manually, so it is just an expensive paperweight now.Previous: I got 2 of those. Not having a backlit lcd is definitely an issue, maybe there is a more expensive model. Another really big issue is with usability. It really needs a Power On/Off button separate from the Auto. The way it works currently is extremely unintuitive and I only get it because of my engineering background. The wife has no hope to figure it out. It is also not placed separately in an easy to find location and trying to hit it in the dark is really hard. You guys got the basics right with the product but need to Iterate on accessibility

I have 12 of these now... dead easy to use and programme. No idea why some people have issues with them... Maybe try reading the instructions.. Set to Auto from the Off position if you want it to come on when the time to come on is reached, and it'll turn itself off at the off time..If you set it to ON, it will just stay on all the time. If you set to OFF, it wont turn on.Set to Auto from ON position and it'll be on when you turn power on, and will turn off when Off time is reached.I have used these for over 6 years now at Christmas, set all days at the beginning of festivities and just leave them alone. The only adjustment I have to do is when we reach Christmas Eve and next couple of days as they are to be on all the time - so I am told

This is okay. Haven't managed to get it to work on the same programme, repeat every day in a block function despite following the instructions which are given as an example for this function. It came on at the right time, but did not go off, and plugging an item into the socket between the programmed days during the off times meant that the item came on. My guess therefore is that this function switches on at the first on time but stays on until the last end time. I've not had time to test this theory yet, so have resorted to doing a separate programme for each of the days I want the timer to work. This seems to be effective as a workaround but very cumbersome.

This is a great timer with lovely functions like the random feature. My issue is that it’s painfully slow and complex to set, and that the random function isn’t very configurable. You can’t set the limits of it, so it’ll come on at 3am for 10 minutes or an hour.

Bought two of these. One was clearly a return.Read the manual, says to never leave item unattended and to unplug when not in use etc - what's the point in that? If you're there to watch it, then you're there to plug the appliance into a wall and turn it off.I bought this so I could set the time to come on 00:30 and off 07:30 when the rates are cheaper. No use to me if I have to be up to watch it 🙄

This is multi programmable unit, works well too.The one thing to consider is:It won't work straight out of the box..As it relies on its rechargeable battery and that has to be fully charged beforehand.After that has been done, then it's good to go,(and any future timing adjustments can be done without it being plugged to the mains whilst doing those) Just remember to fit it back to the 13amp socket or extension adapter.

It was easy to program the first time round and it is saving me a fortune on electricity. I use it at around 5am to 6am to charge my phone (I used to charge the phone all night) and it serves the purpose very well. Happy with the look and variety of functions provided by it. The other one I use to charge my laptop for an hour a day to keep it up and running when I need it. Would recommend to friends.

Excellent, I got 2 of these to switch a couple of lights on at different times whilst the house was empty while we were away on holiday. I forgot to tell my neighbour about them & they thought someone had got in the house. A quick phone call from them soon cleared up their worries.
