Great value for the money! It is so educational and uses a pencil which so many children are lacking in now! The songs are engaging and it has various language options. The touch screen is easy to navigate. The handle makes it easy to carry for my grandson who is in preschool. Such a cute and wonderful toy! I am so glad I got this for him!

My 2.5 year old loves Mr. Pencil! It’s helped him immensely with his ABC’s and phonetics. I love that he can sit there for an hour and loves bringing it in the car on longer trips. Also, Mr. Pencil can survive being thrown as it has been thrown multiple times. The screen brightness isn’t too bright and reminds me of a kindle. I like this reminds me of a pixelated 90s toy and that it’s not overstimulating. It comes with two volumes.

Mu daughter keeps this in her bed, and she uses it almost every day. Worth the money, bright enough to use at night without issue, and over all beautifully done. She's learning so much and loves that you can draw your own pictures and have them in the program with Mr.Scribble!

We’ve really enjoyed using the LeapFrog Mr. Pencil’s Scribble, Write and Read! I love that the pencil is connected in the middle, making it easy for both right and left-handed kids to use, super thoughtful design. The two volume levels are great for different settings, and being able to program up to three names is a fantastic feature. It’s helped my preschooler start learning how to spell and write his full name, which is a huge win. That said, I do wish there were more preprogrammed words for kids to practice spelling and pronunciation, it would really extend the product’s learning value. Also, the screen is tough to see in outdoor lighting, even on an overcast day under a shelter. A toggleable backlight would be a great addition. Overall, it’s a great educational toy with a lot of potential, just a couple tweaks away from perfect.

I actually purchased this for one of my godchildren. They love it and they stay busy on it. And it’s easy to use. It makes them feel like they have their own personal computer. I think it’s a great value for the money. The quality is great. And it’s cute.

we got this as a christmas gift for my 3 year old and she is obsessed. she is currently in preschool and learning to write and sound out letters. this toy has helped her progress so much! it’s also a great car toy if you’re traveling because there’s so many different games to try on it. and some of them are custom words you can enter to learn. (writing your name, etc) screen brightness is great too. i do wish there were more options for volume control
