Recording to 3 sources from the same mic to 2 cameras and my phone via USB C works flawlessly.
I ordered this and didn't read the Q&A section of the description close enough to truly understand what it meant. The microphone was okay at first but climbed to 5-Star based on a few things. Thanks to YouTuber Mark Wiemels for reminding his viewers this can record the same microphone to two separate cameras at the same time. I just did a quick test of Comica's claims of 3 recorded sources at once by recording my Sony ZV1-Mk2 with the receiver, Canon M6-Mk2 with a TRS extension cable, and my Pixel 7 Pro using the BlackMagic Camera app and the included USB C to C cable. That was the same test scene with three separate cameras all capturing the same audio source. I use Davinci Resolve Studio for editing Wheelchair Repair How-to videos, but at work we use TechSmith Camtasia. Camtasia does not have audio sync and selecting one audio track from multiple camera video. Now it won't matter. All of the videos sound nearly identical. Just don't forget to adjust gain on both the microphone body and the receiver. I'm thinking of hooking this up to my employer's camera when I need to record and add some b-roll, plus use the USB C to my phone to record a back up audio track in case the wireless goes out. Pros: -Solid build quality -Nice case with excellent extras. The shock mount worked very well. -Recording to 3 separate devices (Receiver, 3.5mm, and USB C) at the same time. -Low cut filter works well. High Freq Boost added clarity when using the foam cover. -USB C to Windows PC actually had volume unlike the Deity V-Mic D4 (D4 also works well on Android and iOS devices though) -Internal rechargeable battery -Wireless mic can be synced to the BoomX-D receiver. (I have not tried this yet.) Cons: -Internal rechargeable battery. If not using the USB C port you may be able to power the microphone with a battery pack. The battery will wear down over time, but the body is screwed together so I'm hoping it can be replaced when worn) -Gain needs to be set on the microphone with the dial, and the receiver when using wireless. I forgot this on my first test but the audio luckily wasn't clipped. -No 32 bit Float or internal recording. So recording to one of the other 2 inputs when using wireless is important for redundancy due to possible dropped signal. Gain needs to be set on all devices. I am loving this so far and looking forward to making more content with it and spreading the word to other creators and corporate training teams.

Really really amazing Game changer
This is an amazing microphone system.. 32-bit float! The fact that you can record directly to the mic is a game changer The prices amazing too! I only have small quirks that prohibit me from giving it five stars One: sometimes the controls on the microphones can be a little finicky, The receiver seems on the cheap side, sometimes you forget to turn it off so the battery drains, I wish it was an option after a certain amount of time it shuts off, If you record longer than an hour on the mics internally it breaks the clip up which is annoying but I can work through it The app sometimes lags when you're trying to get it to correspond with the microphones But this is something every filmmaker podcaster needs to have in their kit ASAP

Great Audio
Just recorded 12 interviews within two days (Big Project) with this and they came out really good! Just had to play with it a few nights beforehand and get the levels setup correctly on both the mic and camera to get solid audio. Ran it through Aux cable into camera and bypassed the wireless connection, and that audio came out great! had 32bit internal recording for backup just in case but ended up not needing it. My only concern is having to have it relatively close to the subject to get great audio. Boosting audio in post creates some hissing, but that's probably normal for shotgun mics. Kinda wish i bought the 2x pack just to have a backup on set. Hope it lasts a while.

Filmmakers... Buy It Already!
Honestly, this is an amazing microphone. You get everything you would need (minus a boom stand) in the kit. The audio quality is really good and on par with mics well above its price. The internal recording is absolutely a game changer, as well as it having the ability to work wirelessly. The auto on/off feature when its plugged directly into your camera is great and saves battery life. It also leaves one less thing to worry about when getting ready to film. The case for everything is great as well. The whole thing is a nice, lightweight package.

Versatile and Reliable for Filmmakers and Content Creators
The Comica VM30 shotgun microphone is an exceptional audio tool designed to meet the demands of both filmmakers and content creators. With its impressive features, including wired and wireless modes, digital/analog output, low cut filters, and versatile compatibility, the VM30 offers a reliable solution for capturing high-quality audio in various recording situations. In this review, I will delve into the microphone's performance, build quality, usability, and overall value. Performance and Audio Quality: The VM30 excels in delivering exceptional audio performance. Its super-cardioid polar pattern ensures focused sound capture, effectively reducing ambient noise and providing clear and crisp audio. Whether you're shooting a film scene or conducting interviews, this microphone captures sound with remarkable precision and depth. The low-cut filters at 75Hz and 150Hz, as well as the “safety mode” are handy for reducing unwanted low-frequency rumble, making it suitable for a wide range of recording scenarios. Wired and Wireless Modes: The inclusion of both wired and wireless modes is a standout feature of the VM30. In wired mode, the microphone can be easily connected to cameras, smartphones, or PCs via the provided cables, ensuring seamless integration with various devices. On the other hand, the wireless mode offers the freedom to record audio without being constrained by cables, making it ideal for dynamic shooting environments. The microphone's wireless range is impressive, providing reliable connectivity without compromising on audio quality. I have tested it up to 150 meters, and the signal was still flawless, without any drop. Digital/Analog Output: The VM30 caters to the needs of both digital and analog audio setups. The digital output option allows for a direct connection to devices with USB-C digital inputs, preserving audio integrity throughout the signal chain. Alternatively, the analog output provides compatibility with devices that require an analog audio signal. This flexibility makes the VM30 a versatile choice for both modern and traditional recording setups. Build Quality and Design: Comica has paid careful attention to the build quality of the VM30. The microphone boasts a robust construction, ensuring durability and reliability even in demanding shooting conditions. The inclusion of a shock mount significantly reduces handling noise and vibrations, enabling smooth and uninterrupted audio recording. The sleek and compact design of the microphone enhances its portability, making it easy to carry and use on the go. The addition of the included transportation/storage case was also a nice plus to have. Usability and Compatibility: The VM30 is designed with usability in mind, catering to the needs of both professionals and beginners. Its plug-and-play functionality allows for effortless setup and operation, eliminating the need for complex configurations. The microphone is compatible with a wide range of devices, including cameras, smartphones, and PCs, making it suitable for filmmakers, vloggers, and content creators across different platforms. Value and Conclusion: The Comica VM30 shotgun microphone offers an excellent balance of features, performance, and affordability. Its ability to deliver high-quality audio in both wired and wireless modes, along with the inclusion of low-cut filters and versatile compatibility, makes it a valuable tool for filmmakers and content creators. Whether you're capturing professional-grade video footage or recording content for social media, the VM30 proves to be a reliable and versatile companion. With its impressive capabilities, the Comica VM30 is undoubtedly a worthwhile investment for those seeking a reliable and feature-packed shotgun microphone.

Absolutely phenomenal microphone I highly recommend it to anyone, whether they are beginners, or professionals. This microphone has 32 bit float and is capable of producing amazing audio. I was highly surprised at all the functions it has. It's a little confusing at first, but once you get used to it; You'll realize that this is one of the best microphones at this price on the market! I reccomend using the app on your phone which makes it 10 times easier to control, and know what your doing. 5/5 stars Comica!

Really Cool Feature Packed Microphone
When I saw this microphone I thought "all those features seem too good to be true" but Comica really delivered a great value microphone with tons of useful features that make this one of the most versatile microphones currently on the microphone. This mic sounds really good, especially when you get it right up next to whoever is talking. I especially love the wireless mode on the microphone because you can use the included clip to put the mic on a boom stand right next to your talent and then have your camera wherever you would like. This is so useful with mirrorless cameras that don't have XLR jacks because you can only run direct 1/8" cables so far from your camera without getting interference. I also really like the big knob on the back of the microphone for adjusting the output gain. This is really useful for cameras like the A7Iv or a7iii that you have to go into a menu to change levels, and the menu is inaccessible while recording. This gives some great customization while using the mic. The shock mount works well for mounting the mic directly on the camera, and the mic turns off and on when it is hardwired to the camera. Comica also gives a really nice case to keep everything stored in. I haven't gotten a chance to try the wind screen and the deadcat yet, but will update this review after using the mic more. Overall a very useful product with tons of features and a great value for the money, especially when you consider that you can use it with or without the wireless system.
