Nach 5 Monaten Nutzung gibt der Stick langsam seinen Geist auf mit dem Fehler "directory block failed checksum". Neu formatieren hilft auch nicht, der Fehler kommt nach einer Weile wieder. Kauft was anderes!

They work. I've given them a bit of a work out so far by flashing multiple versions of Linux on them. Transfer rates are fine for USB 3.0. they heat up less than some others I have. I prefer to have the button on the side, but works.

Write Protect switch. The switch works. I tested the Read Only (Write Protect) function of this flash drive. It does indeed work. On my linux laptop it would not allow changing the contents or reformatting unless unlocked. I couldn't override it in command line, or change its type or reformat with fdisk commands. It shows up as mounted in Read only format. But Be Warned DO NOT TRY to change the switch position while pluged into the USB port. In linux, at least, it will not work. But this is not a bad thing necessicarily. To change the switch FROM: Read Only TO: Read and Write. You have to unmount the drive and unplug it. Then plug it back in with the switch in R/W. It will work fine. Probably the same for Windows but I dont know. I can't test speed because my laptop is USB 2.0 but it does seem to max out USB 2.0. If I get a chance to test on other machine I will update the review. This type of function is only available on a hand full of flash drives. Other cost far more. "kangaruu" Or are unreliable. "I wont mention" I hope the speeds on a USB 3.0 computer will be just as shown. Thanks EZITSOL for not neglecting a forgotton segment of IT. David.

Slow, slow, slow. Read/write speed was so variable that the difference between the fastest and slowest sectors varied by more than a thousand times. (I have NO faith in the reliability of a drive with individual sectors that take over a second to write.) And, as a minor detail, the protective metal case the drive came in was dented.

good for protection data.
