GREAT BROODER
I chose to use this setup for my baby chicks this year, for the last 6/7 weeks and it held up great! Here are my pros and cons with it! Pros: -Airflow on the sides and top helped cut out the smell tremendously -Heat plate worked as intended, and loved being able to raise and lower it based on chicks -The price of this setup really can't be beat -Fairly spacious until chicks reach that 5-6 week mark -Love that it packs away easily for next year! -Easy to clean, just use a small trash bag and scoop out all the bedding you can, then just use the mat when most of it is out and dump it in the bag. (Some bedding will go under the mat too) Cons: - After the first week or two, you will definitely need to buy a bigger feeder and waterer -When you use the side zipper for running the cord of the heat plate through, somehow every day there would be a small opening in the zipper. So you'd need to rezip it fully so bedding won't go out. -I had 8 chicks in here until fully grown and it started to get really tight at the end. I wouldn't put more then 10 in there. -The mat for the inside is definitely not the best as lots of bedding will find ways under it, but it's not too hard to clean Overall I would recommend this product to anyone whose planning on 10 or less chicks, especially for the price and functionality of it.

Perfect for backyard flock
This thing has made caring for chicks so much easier! The only bad part of getting adorable new chicks when you already have an adult flock is figuring out how to house them safely. In the past we have built brooder boxes, but they are hard to move, harder to clean, and seemingly are always in the way. Then what do you do with it once the chicks are big enough to join the flock?! This way so easy to move around, even bringing it indoors for a few days of the worst weather! It’s also easy to see and reach all of your chicks and their food, water, and heating. Kept our babies safe from curious cats, and not so parental hens. It was also simple to clean when the time came. Being able to wash and scrub the removable matt was great, but washing the whole thing, drying it in the sun and then being able to fold it up and easily store it in the garage when it wasn’t needed any more was just amazing.

Good little brooding tent
Great starter tent for brooding baby chicks. Super easy to set up and maintain. Plenty of room for our 7 babies that are now 5 weeks old. My only issue is I wish the vented sides zippered closed. I wound up using gorilla tape to seal them as the shavings bedding was being kicked through the screening while the girls are scratching. Taping the sides has helped a lot.

Nice setup for a quick fix
I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option only because I don't fully like the warming plate and I was given two tops to feeding trays and no bottom lol. Other than that, the items are good, easy to setup and use. Pretty straight forward, pops right up and open to setup. Lots of different variations to have windows/screens open/closed. The mat is removable for easy cleanup. The size is okay for like 10 standard chicks for the beginning stages, I don't think any further than that as it's not THAT big. Definitely can't have any animal that can pounce on the top of it, as it will fold down and crush the chicks, as there's no hard shell skeleton at all, which is stated, just putting it out there for everyone looking at different reviews. As my cat jumped on top and luckily the warming plate stopped him from getting the chicks. As for the warming plate, it doesn't warm up to the degree as I feel it should. I feel like a lightbulb on for a few hours gets hotter than the plate. It does shut off and then back on which is obviously probably a safety feature but good to know as well. I don't regret purchasing this item, I just wanted everyone else to be aware of the few subtle things I didn't think of when purchasing.

Horrible heat plate
First time chicken owner. I was foolish to blindly trust this product and brought my chicks home and thought everything would be great. Turns out the heat plate barely got to 80 degrees and kept turning off on its own despite not reaching adequate temps for my chicks. They were visibly struggling and huddled together. I had to rush and get a heat lamp to save my chicks. They are doing so much better with the heat lamp after just 10 minutes. The rest of the kit was fine, do not waste your money on this heat plate, it is not safe for the chicks.

Love it for day old chicks.
Spacious deep and very soft. I have 4 in it now. It should hold them a good 4-6 weeks. Had a mat for easy cleaning and folds over for easy storage. Has a zipper net on top for when the get bigger so they don't jump out. I'm using the brooder heat pad I wouldn't recommend a heat lamp for nylon and it's not sturdy like a crate. Think of this as like a tent with fiberglass poles inside. But it does the job and my birds are happy in it. Definitely worth the money.

Good Quality Unit
I have some grown chickens and needed a place to safely take care of some chicks. This was a great deal, ready to set up, durable and keeps them cozy. The lining contest out for easy cleaning.

I love this thing. I love that it can be packed up and put away when not in use so that it doesn't take up space, unlike solid brooders. The heating plate has worked great for both baby chickens and quail. For the quail, I pile a little extra bedding up where I'm going to place it to give it some extra height because they're so much smaller than chickens when they first hatch. The brooder box itself is pretty spacious. We had 6 chickens in it and 13 quail. It was large enough that space wasn't an issue when we put both the chickens and quial outside at 4 weeks old during the summer. Any longer and space would've started becoming an issue.

Does the job. Raised 2 groups of chicks with this but found the heating plates not that warm

Perfect for our 6 chicks

This is a terrible product, please do not get this! Your chicks will get too cold and die. The heater pad is just dreadful terrible quality and design. I have realized this now too late and almost all my poor baby turkeys which I incubated are dead. I had to go to a coop to get a standard heat lamp and bulb.
