Great little recorder/player!
perfect for playing all those old cassettes you forgot you had. speaker and microphone perform well. highly recommend for the kid in your life if they want something other than a phone to record and play.

You get what u pay for
Even though this item had mixed reviews I still purchased it because I wanted cast my own judgment. Well I seen for myself and what a mistake.This was such a waste of money. The audio sucked. Didn't like the sound quality @ alllllll. When would rewind it to re-record I was still able to hear the what I had recorded prior to the new recording. The mic was flimsy like a 2 cent toy. The saying is definitely true, you get what you pay for.

Good Quality Inexpensive Cassette Deck
This used, inexpensive cassette deck looks and functions as though it were new. The controls work smoothly, and the sound is clear and loud enough, if a bit tinny (too much treble) compared to my previous look-alike Sony version of this cassette deck. But it does what it's supposed to do as an inexpensive cassette deck and I have no complaints. Very quick shipment of deck after purchase.

This was exactly what I needed. The cassette player worked well. It arrived the very next day, which was great. Easy to operate.. I may buy one more.

2 weeks after the return window closed the play function stopped wortking

Important recordings
This sound quality is good if you tape from a live voice. When taping my home based phone recorder saved messages, the quality was not good at all. I had saved some messages from dear persons who have since died, so very important. But, alas, not good recordings.
