Kelty Tru.Comfort Doublewide 20 Degree Sleeping Bag – Two Person Synthetic Camping Sleeping Bag for Couples & Family Camping

I had been waiting to review this sleeping bag until I had a chance to try it out. First, let me say that I use this sleeping bag all by myself, not two people (although there is plenty of room!), just me. I camp in a teardrop (it's actually a square top-a Hiker Trailer) which is basically a bed on wheels. I have a 6in thick, full size mattress in the trailer and although it takes regular sheets and other bedding, I realized that I move a lot when sleeping. I'd end up without covers and waking up because I was cold. A regular sleeping bag would have done the trick but I do not like the feeling of being stuffed in a sack. Enter the Kelty Doublewide. This sleeping bag has made a huge difference in sleep quality. I no longer wake up cold and without covers. It has lots of room so I can move around as much as I want. Best of all, I wake up well rested and warm. So far I have only used it in temperatures around 37-45F degrees. Later this winter I will try it out in freezing temperatures. The quality of the materials is very good and the attention to detail in the seams and finishing is excellent. It is a bulky item, but that is definitely expected and not a detractor (for me at least) as this is not a backpacking sleeping bag, if you want something similar for backpacking you may want to consider individual lightweight bags that can zip together. So far I am very happy with this sleeping bag and I am looking to years of cool and cold weather camping with it. Highly recommend it. (I am 5'8" tall and weigh 160-170 lbs, btw.) Happy camping! Edit: I took it camping for NYE in MD, the tips were just below 30F outside. Yes, I am still using it in the Hiker Trailer, my bed on wheels. I pre warmed the cabin before going to bed using a diesel heater and would bring the cabin temp up to about 50F before crawling into the Kelty sleeping bag. Once cozy, I'd shut down the heater (otherwise it'd be very hot inside) and fall asleep. The sleeping bag performed VERY well (I had silk long johns and a beanie hat) and kept me comfortable the whole night, it was just me in the bag. I am very happy with this item and would definitely recommend it. I am not sure how well it would work without a well insulated base, I have a 6 in Milliard mattress in my Hiker Trailer.

I’m in love with this sleeping bag! It’s warm, soft, and fits perfectly around my husband and me. I especially love that you can unzip the foot area for extra airflow. The color (we got the blue) is beautiful, and the hiker design on the inside is such a fun touch. The storage bag it comes with is super handy too, making it easy to pack up and take along. We stayed dry and comfortable all night, it kept us warm in 40-degree weather in a tent, and since it’s rated for 20 degrees, I truly believe it would hold up just as well. Cozy, roomy, and thoughtfully made, this product is everything I wanted and more!

I bought the Kelty 20F double sleeping bag for my husband and I to share while camping. We have had our sleeping bag for over a year now and so far, I love everything about it. It is comfortable, warm, the extra blankets inside are nice and do come in handy, the zippers work smoothly, and I love that it zips down on both sides. Everything is well made and so far is holding up great. Have washed if twice and probably have used it camping over 10 times already. I really can't think of any negatives. We have used it in both our truck tent and tent trailer and have stayed in night time temps hovering around 30 degrees. My husband is a big guy and I am average size and we fit comfortably with room to spare. Great sleeping bag for car camping and fairly priced for its excellent quality.

My partner and I love using this on our camping trips! We were cozy together and appreciated the reg-u-leg zippers! It gets a little funky arranging the blanket flaps and doing most of our camping in Alaska we always need to zip up! Our small pup fits in the mummy hood with us to stay warm too. The mummy hood is actually kind of big so I need to figure out how to cinch it up a bit so there isn't such a big opening lol. We havent used it in winter yet but have plans to try it out soon. I think if we are both in there, the body heat will be adequate. I also didn't notice a moisture collection which was appreciated.

This thing is amazing and super warm cool style and comfortable and soft. Still trying to o figure out how to wash it though.

This is amazing!!! Size is ideal for two people, providing a comfortable and cozy experience, with two layers of blankets, it stays warm even in cooler conditions, and the top portion can be fully opened when ventilation is needed. The materials feel high quality, and PFAS-free, which is an important factor for me. Love it.

Well thought out design, top notch zipper quality, love the feel of the fabrics. My fiance and I laid it out were impressed with the size, double blankets. If you are a couple camping, we would highly recommend investing in this outdoor bedding!

The sleeping bag is a game changer. I am a 5 foot 10, 250 pound woman that loves camping. I go with my 50 pound dog at least twice a year to the northern California coast where it usually stays in the 50s overnight. Up until now I would bring sheets and blankets and comforters camping.I got the sleeping bag with the intention of having him in the bag with me to keep him warm and reduce the amount of things I’m bringing and packing. Not only is this sleeping bag surprisingly warm, my feet also don’t touch the end of the bag so I don’t feel restricted. I’m able to fully extend and I sleep quite comfortably. My husband who is 6 foot one also fits comfortably in the sleeping bag. He doesn’t usually come camping with me so my intention is not to have two people in the sleeping bag at a time. We have a calking bed, and my goal was to sleep warm and comfortably while camping with my dog and reduce the amount of things I’m bringing camping to accommodate that. Goal accomplished. I fell in love with Kelty after I bought the camping loveseat. Not only was it super comfortable, but the brand designed the protective case for the chair so that it doubles as a dog bed. The top cover of this sleeping bag zips all the way off and doubles as a throw blanket. The thoughtfulness that goes into their products is impressive. The sleeping bag is surprisingly warm for how thin it is. I came down with a really bad cold a few few days after I purchased the sleeping bag and have been using it to sleep in the living room for the last seven nights and I’ve been so comfortable. I am so pleased and highly recommend.
