The slicer is well made and is a very useful tool for slicing our bread maker made bread. The item is sturdy and is made and functions well. If there are any drawbacks it is that the Slicer is only made for loaf shaped bread. The only way to use this with a round loaf is to cut the round loaf in half and cut it that way. The knife that comes with it works for the purpose, but I find the knife cuts a little rough due to the serrated edge and it could be about an 1" longer to be perfect. I use a non-serrated meat slicing knife to make smoother cuts, plus it is much longer. Overall, I am very happy with the product. I also enjoy that it folds down neatly for storage when not in use.

This bread slicer is absolutely perfect for helping me slice bread evenly for sandwiches. I recommend it for homemade bread makers! You can slice thick or thin slices as there's different widths available on the board. It folds up easily for storage and is very easy to use.

Absolutely love it! I sliced bread as thin as for a sandwich to as thick as one for Texas toast. All the crumbs were in the tray, which made clean up a breeze. The knife that comes with it, works great. I love that there are magnets on the side to keep the knife with the set. And let me not forget, the cute bag to store it all. Very pleased with my purchase! Highly recommend

While it performs its purpose, it was not put together loosely and had to be held together at top of sides while cutting loaf. It was not sanded well enough as my splinter proved. I would have returned it, but that is too much trouble. The knife was good.

I love this bread slicer. It came with a nice serrated knife. There is holder with a magnet on the side of the bread box base. But I found that my electric knife was much more efficient. This slotted box holds a 1.5 lb. bread machine made sour dough loaf. Could easily hold a 2.0 lb. loaf. This bread slicing box can be used with either left hand or right hand slicing. The system is stable enough for slicing thinner 1/4 “ pieces. I was impressed with that. What a game changer for my weekly bread making activity. I highly recommend this Bambusi Collection brand.

Christmas present for my bread-maker wife. She was excited to get it and we both use it daily. We started with the 1/2" slice but are now using 3/8" most of the time. Easy to make that adjustment. We like having a place to keep the knife and the knife works well too. Thankful that I got the bamboo versus plastic also.

I just started making homemade bread, portioning was an issue... Cause yum bread! This is exactly what I was looking for. It's pretty and it portions the bread instead of us just eating a full loaf in one day cause of yummy, homemade bread. Note: Be careful while cutting, due to how things work in reality, when the metal knife slides along the wood at just the right angle it can raise some hairs. It is the stuff of horror films and half of me loves it and thinks it's funny but there's a small part of me that's looking for monsters in my kitchen occasionally. It comes with a super soft bag to store it in (but it's one of the best-looking things in my kitchen so I leave it out), knife storage was a huge selling point over other options, plus it is pretty wood. I think it works wonderfully. I'm getting a matching bread box today and will update you with how pretty they look together soon!

This is my 4th and last slicing guide because it's design, usability and ease thoroughly impresses me. The grooves at the bottom ensure that every slice is fully cut. It has sufficient height 6" for the 1 Lb. loafs I make. The pieces are snug when assembled and easy to work with as they don't allow the bread to slip while slicing. The feet REALLY are non-slip. They supply a brush to remove crumbs from the grooves. I've been making bread for years, use Zojirushi machines and always used a slicing guide comparable in price with this one. After slicing a loaf with the Bambusi, it looked like it was commercially sliced.
