I purchased this umbrella for my East-facing patio in Arizona and it seems to be a very good quality product. In retrospect, I may have been more satisfied with the smaller (11') size. As our climate continues to change, we are seeing more frequent and stronger winds around my home; I worry about my umbrella blowing around too much and therefore open it infrequently. I'm very pleased with the design and especially like the extra, sturdier rib that ties back to the post. It is very easy to operate, rotating within the base and sliding the umbrella up and down the elegant, curved post. The mechanism for opening the umbrella works quite easily as well and the quality of the band and fastener that hold it closed is excellent. I would caution other buyers to carefully measure your space to determine optimal placement. I thought I'd paid sufficient attention to the diagrams in the online listing and my umbrella opens fine and is usable in some positions as it rotates within the base and the tilt adjusts by sliding up and down the post. However, I placed it too close to the house and therefore cannot enjoy the full range of positioning as it bumps into the house. I'd highly recommend that if you can have a couple of big, strong folks hold the umbrella in a few positions to help determine the best placement, that would be a good choice. I am a 70-year-old woman overcoming a knee injury a few months back working alone to install my umbrella. On the other hand, it can be assembled and installed by a 70-year-old woman working alone! Fortunately, I'd followed the suggestion I saw in another review and left some of my sand in the bags while adding to my base, in case the base needed to be moved later. The design of the bags that hold the sand is extremely good. They fit just perfectly and are sturdy material like heavy-duty tarps. There are two bags, but each is divided into two compartments. I just loaded a full bag of sand into each of the four compartments and then filled in around that with loose sand. The Velcro-held openings are sufficiently large for easy loading and the quality/strength of the Velcro is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this umbrella, however consider the amount of wind in your area and pay special attention to placement so that it can move freely and you can take advantage of all the flexibility in where your shade lands.

Complete assembly time for one person = 3 hours (30 minutes unbox, 30 minutes layout tools, parts, prep 220lbs of sand, 30 minutes assemble base, 30 minutes to fill sand bags with 220 lbs of sand, 30 minutes to assemble umbrella to stand, 30 minutes learning how to operate and moving around location) Very attractive on the deck. Very high quality materials and construction. Detailed assembly guide with well labeled parts. Allow about 3 hours from start to finish. I cannot stress enough about the 220 lbs of sand!!!! That was over whelming to me to carry 50 lb bags and lift and pour into the base bags. Make sure you know this. My product didn’t have a water option, only sand. It’s very easy to operate. Mechanics glide along. Beware the 7ft max height to reach up there to set or lower the umbrella. My husband is 6’ 5” so he is good but I am only 5’9” and I struggle working the devices at that height. It’s 11ft umbrella and we have a lot of wind so, I am THANKFUL of that 220 lbs of sand securing it. Our deck is long with lounge area on one end and table in the other. This is a PERFECT solution to limit sun early morning and mid day. I easily pivot back and forth. But it provides no relief with sunset because it doesn’t tilt side to side. So know your sun exposure direction and this limitation. Great price for the quality. Very satisfied!!

I bought the original 12FT LAUSAINT HOME umbrella in 2024 and it was excellent. It was easy to assemble, looked great, provided wide shade coverage, and held up well through a full year of use — until a strong thunderstorm finally broke it. I liked it so much I ordered what I thought was the same model again in May 2025. Unfortunately, the new umbrella I received was noticeably smaller. After comparing it side by side with the original, it was clear that the design had changed — this version had fewer ribs and a shorter pole. While it’s still listed as a 12FT umbrella, the real-world coverage felt closer to 10FT. Nowhere on the product page did it clearly explain these differences. That said, customer service (Aria from LAUSAINT HOME) was friendly, responsive, and quick to resolve the issue. After I sent measurements and photos, they issued a full refund. I really appreciated their professionalism. Important tip: LAUSAINT sells several versions of this umbrella, so double-check the model details — especially the rib count and dimensions — before ordering. I just re-ordered the original 12FT model again and it should be delivered next week. Fingers crossed it’s the same one I loved the first time!

Like it very much great value, however with any umbrella that is a cantelevor style of good quality make sure you use a secure tie down system if your in a windy area, these are costly and no one wants to dump 400.00 over and over again! See Photos (Rainy day here... but you'll get the idea) With this kind of coverage on our deck very happy with result! Only caviat, base we bought is very secure, with sand bag that fits inside, top cover of base is kind of flimbsy but if you take your time in assembly works out well.

Great umbrella for the pool or beach. It’s very well-made, durable, and holds up well in the wind. The canopy provides plenty of shade, and the price is very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend! ☀️
