Great product, but good maps are not included. Had to pay an extra $200 for a map card.
Can’t go wrong with the quality product like Garmin although you pay and pay and pay $700 for chart platter and you have to buy the cover separately for another 25 and even though it said it had full maps the maps are highly on detailed and not good enough so for $200 extra you can buy better maps, which are absolutely necessary I’d love to get a product one day that’s complete with no surprises.

Upgraded from a 7" Striker
This model has a Fishing, Sonar map system far superior to the Striker series. Garmin's clumsy, misleading software still $ucks. Just turn off the local maps and enjoy.

Extended coverage, incredible detail, updates via Bluetooth
Lakes and rivers preloaded now covers tidal and ocean water far out enough for most small craft. Updates 3-4 times with tide and can show wind and current all from cell phone data with subscription. Has side view but I have not yet learned to appreciate it but sonar is much improved. I miss not having "fish" symbols as an option. Still leaning its features. What it shares

Unit Shuts Off In The Smallest of Chop
This unit works great on mirror smooth water. In 2-3 inch chop, however, it shuts down. In addition to the mount that came with it I also tried a RAM mount to see if dampening the vibrations a bit might help, but it still shut down. I also did all the usual checks: voltage, cable pins, secure connections. A marine unit should not shut down going over 3 inch lake chop. The picture show the unit after it shut down and the size of the waves. I requested technical help through Garmin several days ago. Still waiting on a reply. Forum searches indicate I’m not the only one experiencing this, unfortunately.

It does the job
We love this product and we’re avid fisherman and this is exactly what we were looking for for our boat. We found it to be better priced than buying from a big box store.

Does not do clearview with included transducer
Included transducer does not support clearview. Photo of unit shows in clearview mode, but this unit will not do it without buying another transducer. Nice to find out once you fish the cable through a 20 ft pontoon and power up. Complete BS.
