8Bitdo SN30 Pro Switch Wireless Bluetooth Game Controller Gamepad (Hall Effect Joystick Update) for Switch Steam Mac PC Android Windows MacOS (Green)

I bought this controller so I could better enjoy games on my iPhone, MacBook, Gaming PC (both for PC games and use with emulators for vintage games), and take it to game parties at my friends house or a bar that mainly play games on a Nintendo Switch (Mario Party, Kart, Smash Bros., etc). The size is perfect and true to SNES style and weighs less than a small iPhone. The battery life and functionality are impressive. I am considering buying another more to have as a second controller for a guest and as gifts for friends that enjoy video games. I do like that. It will turn itself off if it is not in use for an extended period of time and will automatically reconnect if booted up in the proper mode. Additionally I like that it turns itself off when I shut down the computer it’s paired to. Read the instructions carefully as different modes are for different types of devices. If using it on a PC, be sure that when it appears in your Bluetooth devices that are discoverable, it appears as “8bitdo pro controller” and not as “pro controller”. I noticed when I had paired it to my gaming PC as “pro controller” it did not have support for vibration and limited functionality for joysticks, when I connected it properly as “8bitdo pro controller” it had full compatibility, just keep in mind and that for some PC games, the bindings will be referencing lettered buttons as if it had Xbox bindings/button assignment (so B will be A, A is B, and so on). It is very easy to switch modes on it but takes a little memory, if you’re only using it on one device and you shouldn’t have no issue once you set it up properly.

1.1 plastic feel with original SNES pad. D pad is the same and was my biggest selling point. I had previously purchased a wired SN30 for pc use and grabbed this when it went on sale to eventually use with the Switch. The sticks take a bit of getting used to due to how thin the controller is but it's a solid controller all round, definitely more comfortable than the tiny joycons and definitely better for games that utilize a D pad.

I love using this little controller for RetroArch and other mobile games on my iPhone. Sticks, dpad and buttons feel good. Wireless connection is solid, battery life is great and the old school translucent purple looks sweet. Perfect for traveling.

Review is based on immediate impression -- Extremely lightweight, compact and full-featured, the perfect controller for travel. I recently brought a PS5 controller to play games on my laptop during a 13 hour plane ride, and while that solution worked perfectly fine, the controller was bulky and inconvenient to keep in my pocket as I was waiting to board. The SN30 Pror is the perfect size for that, and will easily fit in a backpack without taking up extra room. What's most impressive is that no features are sacrificed. You still have motion controls, thumbsticks and rumble in this tiny little package!

I have a couple of these 8bitdo (SNES type controllers) and they work great, much better than the Nintendo Switch SNES controller. I'm "Old School", so I like this style of controller.

A bit rattly and rough but gets the job done. Surprisingly ergonomic.

I really like this 8bido SN30 Pro Switch Wireless Bluetooth Game Controller it's nice and light and feels good it gives you that SNES Style controller feel I might buy another one later
