I am an SLP that works with adults. It is difficult to find therapy materials that aren’t too infantile. These cards, while they have a lot of photos of children in them, lend themselves to adult clients as well. The cards are sturdy, and the image quality is very good with great color. The back of each card has a story about the picture and questions geared toward both receptive and expressive language skills involving WH- questions. Many of the scenes have multiple people in them allowing for the treatment of more complex receptive/expressive language skills including inferencing and even verbal formulation of a story-so you aren’t limited to the questions provided on the cards- you can be creative in their use. One of my clients with aphasia commented “these are hard ones”. These are very reasonably priced for their ease of use and the number of skill area for which you could potentially use them.

I use this with my developmentally delayed students. Pictures are clear, matching questions are useful. I adapt on the spot when needed to meet the needs of my students. Great conversation starts for individuals working on these skills. Would also recommend for individuals recovering from a stroke, traumatic brain injury.
