Does this phone need a landline or can it work solely with your cell phone?

When the phone rings and we answer, the caller cam hear us but we can’t hear them. Have tried everything! Anyone know how to fix?

JoAnn - We apologize if you are having issues with the VTech VS112-3. If the audio is poor, try to increase the volume on the handset by pressing the VOLUME button while on a call. Also make sure you are within range of the base unit and the mouthpiece is unobstructed. You can do a simple reset on your unit by unplugging the AC adapter, line cord and batteries on the handset for at least one (1) minute, re-plug and try it again.
