Cruise control fix for a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. Wild that a brake switch even exists but here we are.
Made my Cruisers Control on 2007 Chevy Tahoe LT work again. I can now set the speed on my cruise control and travel. The light on the cruise control switch on the steering wheel would come on put the light in the dash would not. In other words my cruise control would come on but it would not set. I was told it was likely the brake switch. I ordered this brake switch & switched it out in 15 minutes. I now have working cruise control for my beach trip. I was also told to check my brake light bulbs because those can also make your cruise control set of one is blown on a Chevy Tahoe. The droman part looks well made. I've used a few Dorman parts over the last few decades and I've never had any problem at all. Dorman make good parts..OEM parts and cheaper is what I like. It was also delivered in 12 hours. I cannot speak on the durability because I've only used it for 2 weeks but I've used it several times. I suspect it last the life of the vehicle. Its got 230,000 miles but im sure it last 100,000 miles. Hope some of this random info helps a random fellow out. Good luck👍

It works
REplaced old switch (my 2nd) and put together in 30 sec. It brake lights lit when pressed brake pedal. But had some issue with Cruise Control which is the main purpose to replace. I had to kick brake pedal sideways or press brake then release, finally criuse working. Eventually, it start to function normally. Old brake switch had same issue. Seem that GM have weird design and setup.. Wish they use Hall effect transistor for brake and cruise control so we won't have to worry about replacing it.

The brake light switch looks good. Three months after purchasing I still haven't installed it yet; cleaned the old part and the problem was solved. I recommend you try cleaning the original before buying.
