Condor EMT Tear-Off Bag

First impressions: a sturdy, well-made first aid kit. There are lots of internal pockets and elasticated loops for easy access to bandages etc, and a mesh pocket for smaller items. The whole thing unfolds quickly, presenting you with the entire contents of the kit in an instant. Took the contents of my Boots Travel Kit easily, with lots of additions for my hiking setup - scissors, extra bandages, mozzy and antiseptic cream, more blister options and everyday tablets. The belt/gear-loop attachments feel strong and are placed well, and there are D-rings if you prefer a shoulder strap (not supplied). The material is tough, but not so rigid that it becomes troublesome. I don't use MOLLE gear, but there are plenty of loops on the front. The rip-away feature works! I also have several cheaper pouches from airsoft and "no-name" brands: the quality and utility of this Condor bag is a clear step above those.

Use it as part of a modular bug out/get home bag and camping kit. Has first aid, fire lighting, 550 cord, water purification, light sticks, pocket knife and various other items. Interior pouch at the back also big enough to hold a medium sized paperback book. Transfer it from car to house when needed. Good size for all those smaller items you need and allows easy transport and transferring of them. Seems to be holding together well and mines is pretty packed full. The quick release buckle helps hold it all together nicely and supports the zip. Impressed with it and would recommend.

The photographs fail to give a proper sense of perspective to the size of this pouch - it's quite a lot larger than most standard Molle pouches - for good reason; it takes a very healthy amount of kit inside. It's well-made, well-finished and if the use I've given it so far is anything to go by, certainly should stand the test of time. Given the importance of good equipment in First Aid, I've added the Leatherman LT40 Raptor Leatherman LT140 Raptor Emergency Medical Shears , which makes short work of cutting clothing, packaging, dressings and bandages - certainly far more expensive than regular scissors, but in my opinion, well worth it.

This is FAR bigger than a similar pouch I bought this week, for the same job. The rip-off back is solid enough & handles ok too. The pack is cavernous & has plenty of storage for a great deal of kit. Look after packing & you'll also find nooks & crannies to put the smaller first aid items too. There's only ONE thing that stops me giving this EMT pouch 5 stars & that's that they never included any pouch or markings that the pouch is for First Aid equipment. I'd suggest it wouldn't have killed them to add a velcro patch with a red cross on it - that'd be common sense to me & it cost Condor a star - a shame as their kit's been pretty good in the past. Just missed this one. Otherwise, a good buy

I quite like Condor kit. They've had a few ups and downs, but for the most part their stuff works well, is well designed, is well built and fills the intended role very well. Keeping in mind this is one of the cheaper "EMT" pouches on the market, and that it aims to fill a role without any of the gimmicky frills that certain other designs have... I think Condor have really delivered on this. I'm surprised to see some reviewers claim it's too small to get more than a couple items of kit in, while others complain that it's too big to carry... From my perspective, it fits very well on a small rucksack/slingpack or on the side of a chest rig/plate vest. It's perhaps a little large for just plain belt kit, unless you're still using PLCE/ALICE webbing, but can still work if needs be - It's about the size of an old '58 Pattern waterbottle pouch. The D-rings and PALS mean you could also hook on a shoulder strap or similar and have several other carry options. As for capacity - I have a large Israeli bandage, an even larger Blast Bandage, a large SJA ambulance dressing, CAT tourniquet, SWAT tourniquet, Fox chest seal, large Burnshield dressing, large WoundClot, foil blanket, 2 large (30ml) saline pods, shears, tweezers, scalpel and blades, NPA airway, decompression needle kit, plus all the usual assortment of burns gels (4), face shields (3), gloves (4), sterile wipes (10), gauzes and dressings, triangualr bandages (2), amalgamating compression wrap, plasters (strips and pre-sized), safety pins, mipore tape, some basic meds, and so on, along with four large Cyalume lightsticks of various colours. Despite all this, there's still room for a bit more kit, and that's without using any of the external mounting options. Inside the pouch, the pockets, elastics, dummy loops and strap-downs give several options for stuffing with kit, so you're best off trying different things to see what works best for how you like yours. I really like the large flop-out zipped pouch, as a place to dump all the small 'boo-boo kit' type items, but still access them without having to unpack all the larger kit. On the outside, the Velcro™ strip along the top is pretty well sized, and you get three rows of PALS for extra kit, along with a dual-function Velcro™ strap that works to either quickly shut the pouch for a moment instead of using the zip, or to hold a CAT-sized tourniquet on the outside of the pouch. There's a similar strap inside the pouch, and either/both can also be used as grab-tabs for ripping open the pouch if you're in a hurry. The back panel is well covered with Velcro™ and the over-strap secures tightly, cinching down as much as you like and even keeping the loose end tidied away with an elastic cuff. The PALS on the back side are perhaps a litle less substantial than the average, yet they work very well even on less-than-ideal platforms, holding as securely as MOLLE usually is. I don't know if it's meant to be a small pouch to supplement a large EMT backpack or something, but it will certainly fit a complete personal trauma kit and all the parts for a personal first aid kit, that a person could go out for a day hiking or on the town and competently deal with most medical emergencies they might expect to find. Of course this isn't restricted to just medical kit, and the storage options apply just as readily to tools, crafting components, or anything else that you keep together as a kit. Overall a very good bit of kit, definitely worth the money and very impressive in how well it does the job!!

Absolutely ideal for my needs. The Velcro panel means instant removal should I need the first aid kit from the molle panel in my vehicle. The layout internally means I can find what I need without any issues. Pleased with both the size and quality and would recommend the kit bag.

Great quality first aid kit pouch. The sewing is done very well and the pouch looks really tidy at first glance The Velcro is good quality, very strong making it impossible for the pouch to come undone by accident. There is also an additional adjustable strap that holds it nice and secure. Undo the clip and pull hard on the carry handle to rip the pouch away from where it's fastened. The inside is well compartmented, and spacious enough for a wide range of medical supplies. Very good for hiking, camping and other outdoor activities.

Well made and flexible platform for either a first aid or EMT package.

Awesome med pack. Lots of room for everything. And it rips away so I can carry it and then if neede grab it and pull it off my pack or belt.

I personally use this pouch (bag; it really is a large pouch...) as my automotive medical kit. Its stitching and apparent build quality is on par with all that I have seen from Maxpedition, Voodoo Tactical and some UTG stuff I've used for a long time.... which is to say, if you're anal about the stitching, you're going to want to check out all the seams when you get the item and melt off the loose threads. I'm sure they do this as a cost-saving type of thing, but it would really add to a finished product if any of these manufacturers would do this before letting their products hit the shelves, so to speak. Once you've secured all the loose tails, 15 or 20 minutes with a lighter in hand, you can appreciate how well made the bag is and feel comfortable this thing isn't going to unravel on you. Once again, I'm pretty anal about loose threads on my gear. This pouch holds a surprising amount of medical stuff. So you have an idea of what you can expect to fit, I will describe what mine is packed with: CAT Tourniquet, 6 oral airways in different sizes, 2 rolls of 3" gauze, a roll of medical tape, 6 5x5" gauze pads, a 6" Israeli compression bandage, 2 maxi pads, various sizes of band-aids, a two pack of Halo chest seals, and various comfort pills, etc. I'm sure I'm forgetting some specifics, but you get the idea of the amount you can carry with this. The tear-away feature is nice and would work well on the sides of a pack. This is a little big in my opinion to be worn on the person, as in belt or LBE... maybe unless you're a combat medic or something. That's not my experience though. I am using this as a stand-alone medical trauma bag for the car. If I go camping in the back country this will just strap right up to my pack and be at the ready. If you're thinking about getting it and are in the market for a medical bag or supplies, you have my recommendation, for what its worth. As a side note, this bag would make a great Frequently-used-things-bag, toiletries bag, or just as a pack organizer.
