I have an awsome fire pit. Enjoyable evenings with my lady enjoying a glass of wine, making S-mores, and now making some very delicious pies with this heart love pie iron just add to very romantic evenings enjoying the fire, having great conversations while gazing at the stars. We have two of these heart love pie irons. The size is small, but large enough to make an enjoyable delicious pastry. I also have 2 regular square size and 2 double size pie irons. Pie irons are awesome. For making a delicious meal to a tasty pastry snack. I would recommend these heart love pie irons for those romantic evenings. They are a a very nice addition to my pie iron collection. A very awsome alternative to making s-mores on the fire pit. Very well made. Will definitely last for many years if not a lifetime! Highly recommended for romantic nights by the fire!

Small and cheaply made

One way to the heart is food. What better way to express it then with a tonka pie (what they are called in Michigan. Easy to use and clean up.

First off, I wouldn't necessarily get this as a first pie iron. My first shot at using this was to make grilled cheese sandwiches which is kind of my go to because the kids like them and it's easy basically and it's a good test of the seasoning. And because the top of the pie is very close to the hinge depending on the shape of the bread you may end up with a lot of crust in there and some gaps at the top of the heart. My second attempt I just cut the crusts off and that worked a lot better. Interestingly enough there wasn't much waste, just the lower corners, versus cutting the crust off by itself. That being said if you're just making grilled cheese sandwiches the round one is more practical (no crusts, sealed edges) or the squarish one (pretty much full bread sized). I really wish it was designed just a little differently, maybe with the tip towards the hinge or providing a bit more space so it's easier to fill the whole iron while not getting a ton of it into the hinge area. Where I think this is really going to shine is more dough type applications - use it with a desert pudgie pie, not a sandwich based one, with some kind of pie crust variation and filling, or even just making heart shaped biscuits with those pop open dough things would be super easy. I'm sure I'll have fun experimenting with it, but again, maybe not quite so practical as their other products.

I have Rome Pie Irons, these were exactly what I was hoping for, haven't used them yet since it is still cold in WI, but we will soon!

I was excited to gift this to my mother but it arrived broken, so the quality must not be very good.
