There's just no better value out there in minimalist casual shoes
What can I say? I have about 6 pairs of Whitin sneakers now. They're not the lightest barefoot shoe on the market, but they're not really any heavier than a Puma running shoe. The soles are flexible, with good traction in the wet, without being so thin that I feel every stone I step on along the sidewalk. If you're looking to read braille with your feet, these are not the shoes for you. If you're looking for something that doesn't force your knees into a position that certainly makes mine hurt when running or walking, then these are the absolute jam. The colors are great, the sizes are exactly what I expected (if you're new to barefoot, I would go down about half a size from what you're used to), and they just haven't fallen apart. Any early discomfort from my first pair has long since been designed out with subsequent pairs that I've bought and worn. They're just comfortable, don't look like a 'barefoot shoe', and are a great value.

Fits small, very comfortable
I’m not much of a review writer. I was looking for a shoe with toe room, I stumbled across the Whitin brand and decided to give them a chance. I returned my first pair for being too small. I’m usually a size 10-10.5 depending on the brand but I am a size 11 with these. I’m a day in but they appear to be made well and I hope they hold up over time. I have o reason to believe they won’t.

Comfortable Shoe, GREAT Pet Hair Carpet Tool (Not Kidding!)
I wanted a lightweight canvas sneaker, and tried these. I swapped out the inner cushion for my preferred sport orthotic. Very comfortable, except when standing for long periods. The wide toe box means you can wiggle your toes and the canvas means your feet can breathe. ***The unexpected benefit of these shoes was discovered one day while dragging my foot on the carpet. The rubber material of shoe bottom immediately balled up some of our longhair cat's fine hair that was clinging to the carpet surface. This type of fine hair creates a white haze all over and my commercial vacuum with a powerhead doesn't pick it up. The best option is a carpet doctor but I am not doing that every few months. For maintenance cleaning, I've been using pet hair rakes which require a lot of elbow grease. This was half the effort for the same level of hair removal. I covered our medium pile 9x12 area rug in about 15 minutes. It's still a workout, but less so, and every bit as effective as the various pet hair rakes or carpet gleaning tools you find on Amazon. If you are looking for shoes AND have a pet that sheds fine hair, this is a double whammy.

Perfect fit, excellent grip, my new favorites until the rains come
I was pleasantly surprised by these. They fit like a glove, and are my ideal balance between something to protect the bottom of my feet but not inhibit foot and toe movement and ground contact. I use them as daily drivers, but they would make good shoes for lifting or movement workouts and have used them a little for both. They grip extremely well, in loose soil, smooth floors, wet concrete, and everywhere else I've gone with them. They tie up ok (a little wrinkly towards the toebox), and seem durable with no separations at the glued seams, or things pulling out of the canvas. I'm somewhere between 50 and 100 miles into them, including a bit of running, calisthenics, and a trail walk, but mostly just getting around town and travelling. They've done well in all of these, though I noted that they performed least well on the trail, where they are a bit too stiff but also lack sufficient tread for uneven/natural terrain (the slightly harder sole makes it difficult to wrap your toes/feet around rocks and roots like a more barefoot style would let you, but they lack sufficient tread to grip rock and root like a proper hiking shoe/boot.) I was pleasantly surprised with how grippy the soles are. I've walked across a marble floor on rainy days that I've known to be slippery and found the traction to be extreme (like new gummy soles). And yet, they gave minimal chirping and no squeaking, unlike most grippy shoes. It was comparable to a good pair of basketball shoes. Their biggest problem so far is that they don't clean up well. Having gotten some mud on them, I found that a couple of attempts at hand washing with soapy water was insufficient. They are still faintly dingy now, a subtle difference from their initial pure black look. I've now sprayed them with a waterproofing coat, which should help reduce how heavily it stains in the future (and also give slight protection for puddle season, though I still wouldn't trust them to keep your feet dry in a proper rain.) I purchased these perceiving them as budget barefoots, but think they hold up to the high dollar contenders. Pleasantly surprised and am ordering another pair. They've served well and I'd be surprised if they failed before 2025, but wouldn't feel put out if they did.

Love these shoes! Takes time for your feet and legs to adjust
I love the Whitin brand! I wear a size 11 or 11.5 in women’s and ordered a men’s 9.5 and they fit great! I have really wide feet with bunions and these don’t hurt my feet. They are a bit stiff at first but I think they will get broken in just fine like any other shoe. I have had my other pair for over a year and have loved them and they have held up really well. If you aren’t used to barefoot shoes if you were then all the time at first your legs and feet might hurt because your muscles aren’t used to the barefoot style. (Mine hurt and were sore a lot at first and now I can wear them all day!) I have read that for a smoother transition to start only wearing them 10% of the time and then slowly increasing as your body tolerance goes up. Just saying don’t give up if your legs and feet hurt when you start out!

Good for Wide Feet
Got these for my boyfriend, who has wide feet and most shoes cramp his toes. He loves these and I think they are quite attractive. Would buy again.

Comfortable but look TERRIBLE
These shoes fit your normal size. They are very comfortable but I have two issues. I have worn barefoot shoes for a couple years. Normally I wear Xero shoes. I received these, and they looked like clown shoes. The toe box is EXTREMELY large. They feel good, but look TERRIBLE!!!!! The second issue is they squeak extremely loud when you slide your foot across a floor. They are VERY loud.

These shoes are awesome for people with wide feet
My husband has wide feet and these shoes are perfect. He’s able to spread his toes out and walk without having his feet cramped up.

The shoe is excellent specially for wide feet. The seller is also excellent, kind and suportive.
