This card is fantastic value for money at under £170. Price v performance v build quality
An absolute beast of a card, it is heavy and very long. Approximately 300mm and takes up two PCI slots, so a clearance of at least 320mm is required to slot the card in safely. Excellent value for money when you consider the performance. Other cards are slightly more expensive and offer little in terms of quality or performance. Does require a decent PSU, min 750w recommended or you might struggle when using at full throttle.PROS -This card is fantastic value for money at under £170. Price v performance v build qualityThe build quality is excellent, something which is expected from ASUS.The performance is excellent when compared to other cards within this range. This card is quiet when not under load, the fans don't spin because the card is running cool due to the heatsink setup. When under heavy load, you can barely hear it.Programmable RGB, if you’re into that sort of thing.VR ready, Works fantastically well when paired with the Oculus Rift S.1 x DVI, 2 x HDMI and 2x Display port.CONS -A very long and heavy card. Requires a wide case with plenty of room inside. You might have to rearrange your drive configuration or modify the case. Takes up two PCI slots, so make the most of the additional screw hole to fasten it down.

RGB, huge heatsink, 3 fans, fantastic low noise cooling. Looks awesome.

Looks and feels like a premium card from when you open the box, and once it’s installed looks like a beast. It comes with really nice programmable rgb, so make sure to download aura sync to get the most out of this. This card really should be vertically mounted to show it off to its fullest, so if your case doesn’t allow it, it might be worth investing in a vertical mounting bracket. Or have a go of modding your case and get a pcie 16x cable. It’s worth the extra effort in my opinion. However, even if you decide to install it direct to your motherboard, the aesthetic is not completely lost. You can still see some of the fan rgb, the logo on the side, and the back of the card has a really nice plate, which includes another light up logo.Weight. Honestly, it’s pretty heavy, so if vertically mounted it may experience a very small amount of GPU droop. I modded my case and built in an extra support at the end of the card (using half an old plastic/rubber hdd caddy) to make sure it was well supported, but if you have a half decent vertical mounting system, or a case that supports vertical mounting, I don’t see any major problems in this area to be honest. Just something to watch out for.Dimensions. It’s a pretty long card due to the heat sink and 3 fans, and I was actually shocked at how intimidating it looked for an RX 580. Truly beastly looking. I personally didn’t have any problems fitting it into a midi case, but I can imagine some cases with hdd brackets at the front might struggle for room. Definitely check the dimensions, as this really is a big card for the spec, and it may cause problems in smaller cases.Cooling. The cooling is fantastic. Massive heat sink and 3 fans. Even during my regular stability tests, the fans don’t crank up for some time, and even when they do, they’re quieter than my case fans. I was surprised at how long they stay inactive to be honest, as these fans remain static until the gpu reaches a certain temp. Just the heat sink static ambient cooling is enough for most things it seems, so really happy about that. Very nice feature. Noise is really a non-issue with this card because of this.Performance wise, this card performs really well for its price point. Obviously it’s still an RX 580, so it can only take you so far, but due to the cooling it doesn’t seem to suffer from any throttling as far as I can tell, so you can be sure you’re getting the most out of the card. Obviously there are cheaper cards with better price performance ratio, but for me the aesthetic, cooling, and low noise were well worth the extra £25-30.Build quality: Everything about this gpu feels pretty solid. Very weighty and the plastic doesn’t feel or look cheap. Some of the plastic has a little give however, especially around the rgb, but overall it feels pretty sturdy when installing.Ports: comes with plenty of ports. 2x hdmi, 2x dports and a dvi port. Pretty much all bases covered there. No complaints.Only notable concerns. Just watch out for gpu droop if mounting vertically. And check your case dimensions to make sure it fits beforehand.Overall really pleased with this GPU. Better than expected.
