it seems to work very well right out of the box. If it holds up in the long run, and I have no reason to think otherwise, it is a great buy for the price. It's versatile, able to sharpen blades from different countries of origin very effectively. It's simple, easy to use and does the job at a reasonable price.

I have had several knife sharpeners some good some not so good and some junk. The 5 PrecisionAdjust Knife Sharpener is by far the best I have purchased. I like the adjustable angle feature, not all knives are created alike. Sharpened a dull knife to like new razor sharp very easily. I like that it also has a scissor sharpener that allowed me to sharpen several unusable pairs of scissors. Easy to use, sharpens quickly very well made.

Can get your knife sharp enough to cut paper, which means you can slice thru tomatoes no problem (breaks outer skin with no problem). Still have one knife that isn’t getting super sharp. I probably need to tweak the angle of the sharpener. I have a whet stone as well, but this gets them almost as sharp in seconds vs 30 mins. A good tool to have in the drawer for a quick sharpening before you need to slice n dice.

Easy to use, only meant to pull blade through from one side. I read the directions after I’d used it incorrectly for a while but still works well.

I love this sharpener. I have owned many similar knife sharpeners over the past 25 years, but this is by far my favorite. Its one of the few of this style of knife sharpener that I seen to have an adjustable angle for the edge. I believe this is mainly why I love it. I can achieve different sharpnesses for different knives (Not just regular and "Asian"). Its also a good size that is easy to maintain a solid grip while using it. Because of the solid grip, I feel safer when using it than some of the smaller options I have had in the past. Visually and functionally I fell it has a well thought out design, and it allows me to sharpen a knife quickly if I am in the middle of something. For reference: I do a decent amount of in home cooking for myself and wife. If I were a more serious about cooking I would probably consider getting one of the swing-arm professional sharpening sets, but that seems overkill for me. This thing is great. My kitchen knives were extremely dull. One of them wouldn’t even cut through the skin of a grape tomato. I purchased this knife sharpener and after watching a couple of reviews on how to use it I sharpened all of my knives and wow!, what a difference! These things cut through most anything that you need to cut up in your kitchen. I did what one reviewer said to do and that was to sharpen them a count of different times. I’m very happy with the results from this knife sharpener and would recommend it for someone looking for an easy , budget friendly way to put a nice edge on your kitchen knives.

This knife sharpener is alright but after some time of using it, it showed itself to be less effective than initially thought. Edit: 12-16-2025 The sharpener is not very good for sharpening a ton and if you want emergency blades sharp and ready, well, I guess this might work but, the grits are not very good. Okay product, buy a Bxgnip sharpener and follow the instructions on the sharpening process carefully and you'll get your blades sharper than with this thing. Maybe use a leather strop but you'll be fairly alright just doing a sharpening and paper test.

Very easy to use. Puts a nice sharp edge on all style of knives.

I have always sharpened my own knives, on a steel rod or back of ceramic bowl. I always thought it was good enough until I tried the orange Ninja. Very easy to use, most of my knives fit the one setting so I could maybe got a cheaper version which has less angles, but this does scissors and even my serrated bread knife. It’s night and day, tomatoes slice like butter. And it holds it sharpness compared to my old methods. It’s sturdy, doesn’t slip, and you don’t need to put pressure, a few sliding strokes till you don’t feel resistance, start with coarse-medium-and then fine grit. It’s that fast and simple. So much better, what a difference! Highly recommend!

Can feel it sharpening

Can't adjust the angles, contacted producent after registering product but no one came back to me with advice or any information. Definitely not worth of buying. My advice, just return if it's broken and do not waste time, to not miss the return window.

I wished I had found this a long time ago before spending money on other tools to sharpen knives. I was close to buying a new knife set; however no need now. Works like a dream.

I would recommend this product for sharpening your knives at home. Easy to use and works great.
