We bought these for the camper to add a splash of color and style. Obviously, you don't want to use heavy stoneware that can also break easily. These fit the bill just fine. The only drawback that I see so far is that when they are used in the microwave they become super hot as in burning hot. Make sure you do not touch with your bare hands. You will BURN yourself. I did first time by accident and second time because I forgot about it !

I was surprised by the odd shapes of these plates but I liked them so much that I have ordered another set of them. I was tired of my ceramic dishes smashing into a million pieces if they fell on my kitchen floor.
