I was given a copy of this from a friend when I had my first daughter and now I buy it as gifts for all my friends when they are expecting. Absolutely beautiful little book. The illustrations are great and the author really understands all of the emotional waves of pregnancy and being a new Mum. Truly beautiful and if you are considering buying it, do it!

This book is just....perfect. It gets me. I cried and smiled at every page. How do you do this, Anna Lewis?! Well done on producing such a gorgeous book on motherhood. I love your Instagram page but now I'm so happy I have your book on my bedside table for emergency smile requirements! I absolutely devoured the book in one sitting, but I know I'll come back to these sketches again and again and again. This would make a great present for yourself, new mums, mums, dads, nannys... basically any parents! On the day it arrived, my husband and mum read it and were showing me pages before I'd even opened it (but I loved it as it was so nice to see them enjoying the book as much as I knew I would). If you're not sure if you need another mum book, you do...and it's this one. It's very different and fills a gap that you didn't even know was there.

Every mum should have a copy of this book. Anna has that rare talent of being able to capture exactly what you feel, even when you can’t articulate it yourself. Her simple sketches have brought me to tears so many times because she just gets it so perfectly right. Her drawings are poignant and beautiful as well as charming and funny. I’ve just bought myself two prints as well for my little boys nursery. I’m so so glad this book exists x

This is just such a wonderful book. As my little one was growing up I have been enjoying the regular illustrations on Facebook so this book is all part of my journey too as they were always so spot on and never failed to make me laugh or well up! For any new mother, this is a great gift, both to make them laugh when they need to in case they otherwise cry, or to show them that they're not alone - that's how babies roll, to almost quote a good book. One thing's for sure, you won't regret having this book. Well done Sketchy Muma. A triumph.

I can't believe I have only just stumbled across this book. I absolutely love it and my little girl loves looking at the sketches with me as well. A beautiful portrayal of motherhood. Each sketch holds so much meaning and beauty.

I felt compelled to write a review on this book. It was a present from me to me & I absolutely love it. Each page brings a smile to my face or a tear to my eye. So heartwarming to read. It will be a firm coffee table favourite that I will turn to time after time. No matter how inadequate or defeated you may sometimes feel, it gives you reassurance that you are a shining star in the eyes of your children. It reminds you that you are their world and are MORE than enough. This book captures motherhood in the most genuine way possible. It is beautiful and EVERY mother should own a copy!

This is the most relatable book I have ever read. It made me laugh, cry and everything inbetween. Each page has a beautiful sketch that brings your through the journey of motherhood from conception to the toddler years. Somehow the illustrator is able to capture all the up and downs of parenthood with simple but beautiful sketches. I reread it pretty often and still love it. I originally bought this book for myself after coming across the authors Instagram and I now buy it for every baby shower I go to.
