I got this because I am a DJ and am able to project music videos from my laptop to a screen during my gigs. I hate trying to run excess amounts of HDMI cables from my set-up to where ever random spot they have a tv or input. This makes it to where I don't need to have that worry anymore. Out the box: Truly plug and play functionality, no drivers that need to be installed or updated. The only thing that you will have to assemble are the antennas that connect to the receiver and or any adapters needed to properly connect to your system for use. Note of discovery - If no signal is going through the transmitter and receiver, you will see a blue screen that has simple instructions to reset the transmitter. I assume that that is the standard screen for this product. Picture/Quality/Range: The picture quality and latency is great. I can not tell the difference in quality or sound between this transmitter and receiver vs a regular or heavy duty HDMI cable. Zero latency or lag noted when using the wireless transmitter & receiver. I have not yet used this during a show (next gig is Dec 16th) but when I do I will be excited to use this tool and have yet again one less thing to worry about while being in my professional atmosphere. At home, I would say that I ran a range of about 75' from my laptop to one of my TV's and had no working issues with the unit (The description says 150' of range). All the same above great qualities mentioned were experienced. Note of discovery - I did notice that both the transmitter and receiver will get hot after a while of being plugged into the respective units but this does not obstruct any of the functionality of the product. Packing and accessories: This comes with everything you need to connect to what you want to use. I like the little adapters and cables that were included. I haven't tried it yet but I think you would be able to project your cell phone via Type-C plug to an HDMI source using this Transmitter and Receiver. The possibilities are endless with the accessories they have provided. I would recommend this to anyone that would like to get rid of the HDMI cable in their application and or just needs a little bit more flexibility with how you control your HDMI Set-up. For DJ/Entertainment purposes I would recommend this hands down and if I need to repurchase this product I will without hesitation. #HumanJukeBoxDJMO

I used it once only and the device got so hot I couldn’t hold it in my hand. Second attempt to use it it no longer worked. I tried to get technical support without success. Amazon suggested that I return the device as it was a third party seller.

Tried EVERYTHING. Including re-pairing the Receiver with the transmitter. Both devices power up. But only see the blue AiVid Menu on the TV, and; the transmitter tries to connect (flashing blue light), then gives up after about 2-minutes. I also FACTORY RESET the device. No matter what I tried the transmitter and receiver never actually perform as desired. Laptop is a Windows 10 laptop, 16-GIG ram, I7 processor. TV is a TCL, 40-inch. Makes no difference what I tried, all I see is the blue menu with instructions. Nothing from the laptop. *SIGH* Vendor is TOP-SHELF. They worked with me via email and after a few tries, we determined, that my laptop does NOT provide enough power to the TRANSMITTER without also plugging a USB cable into the transmitter, and then that into a USB 2 volt power source. Once we did that, it worked. However, for ME, there are other issues. My laptop( S ) have WUXGA resolution, and; when down-scaling to TV resolutions (1366 x 768 ) you lose the ability to READ text on the Receiving Television. Even when the TV is up-scaled again to 1900x1080 - for instance, the down-scale to up-scale again, makes it impossible to READ text on the TV. But that issue is NOT an issue with the Transmitter / Receiver device. The product WORKS. Alas, it simply does not function as I need it to in my "personal setup".

The hardware gets hot quickly and prevents the display connection to work. Now, I am SOL for $120 bucks. It's a great idea but the hardware quality or technology just isn't there...
