The Italian Kitchen Stainless Steel Garlic Press - Heavy Duty Garlic Extruder

I loved the metal garlic press that I have used in the kitchen for years. It had a nice heft to it and the action and balance were smooth. I really thought it was a pretty good tool for its purpose. Then a week ago while pressing a garlic clove the handle just broke. No explanation but it was not stainless but some form of shiny, stainless-looking casting and I guess age and repeated use just caused it to fail. So I bought this one and it has explained to me why this is vastly superior. The balance of the tool is perfect, the handles are not castings of some sort as was my old one and the hinges and pieces of the tool fit together perfectly. I can see this will also clean very easily and so far my impression is of a very high quality tool at a decent price. I am adding to my review because I was asked about cleaning. This press does not come apart for cleaning. Rather it opens to well more than 180 degrees and as in the photos, you can see the three pieces and how easy it will be to clean. Nothing to come apart; no small press part to fall into the disposal. Good design, easy to use and clean! I am thilled. Good thing, too, because I LOVE garlic and use a lot of it! Highly recommended.

What a lifesaver! I can’t believe I waited this long to buy one. Love garlic but hate chopping it. This garlic press is super sturdy and easy to clean. I expect it to last a long time.

An obviously well-made product that is easy to hold with arthritic hands. I had a little trouble squeezing tight enough, but I think it was because the garlic cloves I had were not fresh and were a bit tough. When I get fresh cloves I will try again and update my review.

It works well and it’s all stainless and strong, garlic gets messy and falls out if your pressing a lot at once and sometimes stuck in the cracks but glad it works

This garlic pressed looks nice and sturdy, made from stainless steel. I haven’t used it yet because I may return it. The top handle of the press has a little piece that won’t stay on, in the picture you can see it, either the stainless steel cap is too big or the black plastic insert is too small. I think it would work well, but I don’t want to use it until I decide if I’m going to return it, and that is the reason for only three stars. I will update it when I do use it.

I love garlic and eat it every day but hate peeling it and then using my very old garlic press. Decided to upgrade and so glad I did. You can put the entire garlic clove in it, peel and all.....it peels it and presses through.....so awesome.....easy to clean as well. Love this and I have used it daily for a few weeks now. Highly recommend, happy so far. Has a good weight to it and easy to use.

Product is well made. It’s stainless steel. I’ve used it and it works so well. You can either peel the garlic or not. It works well either way. It feels like it is well made. Very happy with my purchase.
