Fabulous! I use this every day. I'm on the Slimming World diet and eat a lot of fruit. This makes eating apples more of a treat than a chore. I also bought one for my granddaughter who has only just started eating fruit. This cuts apples into lovey thin, easily munched slices. I prefer this one to the cheaper 8 piece slicer normally available. It cost a little more but I think it was worth the extra cost. It is very sturdy and the blades are very sharp - exactly as I would expect.

I didn't have my bins on when I ordered this. I didn't realize that it's hinged not, as I thought, in two parts. I messed up two apples before I realized how to use it properly. You DO NOT put the apple on the base and press the top. You open the thing up and press the slice down on your apple. When you're nearly all the way through you flip the base under the apple and complete the cut. I thought the top was metal but it's hard plastic. Longevity is in doubt.

Brilliant little gadget. There’s a video you can see on you tube showing it in action.it took a short while to arrive as it comes from America but well worth the wait. it works very well and gives nice slim slices.it does require a wee bit of pressure to push it through the Apple so I put it on a chopping board then just lean heavily on it.its easy to rinse clean(don’t know if it’s dishwasher safe)all in all I,m delighted with it.

my old apple slicer doesn't cut all the way down I had to poke the apple out then I saw this one being used on a cookery programme and had to have it , it slices all the way down great

This is fantastic! I like pears, but hate eating them since they have to be just right. Not too hard or too soft, but either way a chore for me. So when I bought this slicer for my apples, I thought, why not try a pear? Yes! Yes, it does work perfectly! I'm seriously considering another for a present. I would happily recommend this!

I absolutely love this apple cutter. I used to have another one, but it cut the apples real big pieces.This one cuts it down smaller for my grandson. And it makes it so easy with the bottom portion that gets the bottom of the apple, all cut up. It's very comfortable and easy to use. It keeps the juices and stickiness away from it It's not very heavy, very easy to grip, and hold on too, as you cut down on the apple. It's the best bang for your buck. it's definitely my go too for apple's.

My go-to snack is apple slices and cubes of extra old cheddar. This contraption makes the prep easy. I love that it creates more, and thinner, slices than most apple slicers. I don't like no thick apple chunks, thanks.

Expensive but worth it for the ease! Sharp and produces perfectly thin slices for healthier munching.
