Honeywell QuietSet Tower (8 Speed Settings, Oscillating 80°, Timer Function, Remote Control, Dimming Options) HYF290

I have been trying to survive the intermittent city heatwaves with a large floor fan, which does the job but sounds like a tornado is raging through my house. It's not compatible with things like watching movies or using Discord due to the noise, so in desperation I went looking for something else. A pedestal fan would take up too much space out of season, another normal fan would probably have a similar problem and an air conditioner would be too much effort. I ended up browsing the range of Honeywell tower fans and picked this one (more because it had the fastest delivery time than anything else). It's not completely silent - it sounds a bit like a fridge - but it's more than quiet enough to leave running in the background when it's blowing at the highest setting. My gaming buddies have no idea that I have the fan on while I'm on voice chat and I'm lovely and cool the whole time! I have no idea what the other reviews are talking about because mine doesn't rattle or click. Setting it up took a couple of minutes. It's very tall but skinny enough that it can be stowed in a cupboard once the weather cools down. I'd like it more if it integrated with HomeKit but I guess that's a way off in some future model, and the included remote control does the job well enough. It makes my room feel less hot without making too much noise. Fully satisfied.

When I go to bed it has to be very, very quiet as the slightest noise alerts me.. This, (and I haven't gone to bed yet is absolutely FANtastic..(see what I did there?) I took 3 or 4 minutes to clip base together and fit unit to that, tested it and felt a breeze but no noise!! Thought it was a draught blowing through and it wasn't working but it was, so quiet it sounds like a gentle breeze you would hear outside from your bed (in sleep mode) only a little louder on setting 2 and progressively louder in step 3, 4 and 5 but nothing so bad. Remote control, timer and oscilates too. Totally recommend this. I will have it relatively close to the bed, at the foot, for maximum cooling in almost total silent sleep mode. Barely any weight to it so very easy to move around though I will now buy a couple more. Thoroughly recommended.

I ordered the HYF260. This was not via Amazon direct ( you need to click other sellers) but a via a reseller ( cheapest and default option when buying new). After a 3 nights, the unit developed a rattle. Annoying when trying to sleep. Then I noticed a review on here where someone else had a similar issue and ordered another unit direct from Amazon which did not have an issue . I've just done the same. I've set it up and no rattle *so far*. Then on closer inspection, I note that the model dispatched from Amazon direct is Hyf260e. Type EFN260 MGH, with a white plug. The model via reseller is HYF260BE/ WE, Type EFN260DC with a black plug. Not only that but the Amazon direct model on its lowest, sleep mode setting is less powerful than the the reseller model. You have to crank it up to 2 to get same airflow. Another important difference is that the Amazon direct model light does not totally turn off after 10 seconds but dims by 50% which is just pointless and too bright. . The reseller model goes off. This is an important difference as having a light shining up does not aid a good sleep if the unit is placed in the bedroom. I am going to keep testing the Amazon direct one for a week to see if any rattles start, then decide whether to return either model. The plus side is the fans look good, are cheap and relatively quiet assuming no rattle. It has a small remote you can tuck behind the recess ' handle' at back. Airflow is just OK for a small bedroom, but sleep mode, the lowest, quietset setting is too feeble on the Amazon model. The tower rotates which can be done via remote. Note the remote does not control the 1,2,4 & 8 hour sleep modes, you need to select these on the unit

Brilliant fan, not too noisy for bedtime even on the higher settings, which can be powerful. A nice size too so it doesn't overwhelm the room. It doesn't seem to cost too much in electricity either and has a good cooling effect. I ordered from this seller 2 years ago and asked to buy a replacement remote as it got broken and they sent one out for free anyway - very impressed and would definitely buy from them again.

I’m really happy with this Honeywell fan. It’s much quieter than I expected, even on higher settings, and the remote makes it super convenient to adjust speed or oscillation without getting up. Solid build and does the job well.

We ordered two tower fans. This one and Dreo Silent Tower fan both about the same price. This one is the better of the two. They are both quiet and work well, but the Honeywell is more stable with a longer lead and a proper place to store the controller

Habe einen guten und leisen Ventilator für den Sommer gesucht welchen ich beim Schlafen verwenden kann. Habe mir dieser Modell vom Profihersteller Honeywell gegönnt. Markenqualität die bewährt! Wurde von Amazon verkauft und versandt! Preiswert bei 74Euronen. Zunächst wurde sehr schnell geliefert und ich konnte den Standventilator sogar ohne Anleitung (wird aber mitgeliefert) innerhalb von 20 Minuten zusammenbauen. War nichts kompliziert und sehr einfach gehalten. Daher positiv überrascht. Material ist aus Plastik und das ist perfekt für das Schlafzimmer. Wie ihr auf meinem Video sehen könnt hält sich der Dezibelpegel in Grenzen und auf Stufe 1 welche bei Nacht ausreicht ist er sehr leise. Qualität ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet und der komplete Aufbau sehr durchdacht. Flügel sind aus widerstandsfähigem Material und dreht sich ohne Probleme. Super ist es dass man mit ihm mit Fernbedienung steuern kann (wird sogar mit Batterien geliefert!) und dann kann man ihn sogar so einstellen dass er automatisch nach einer bestimmten Zeit ausgeht. Spart dann nachts Strom. Steht dank großer runder Bodenplatte sehr stabil und wackelt auch nicht. Fazit: bin mit diesem Ventilator sehr zufrieden und kann ihn nur empfehlen. Wenn man ihn mal nicht braucht dann am Besten ein Handtuch drauf damit er nicht verstaubt. Lassen sie doch gerne ein Nützlich da sofern mein Review geholfen hat. Danke

Honeywell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dopo anni di utilizzo di un modello precedente ho deciso di acquistare questo ! Avendo usato un altro ventilatore Honeywell per oltre 17 anni ( funziona ancora ) NON volevo cambiare marca !!!!! Qualità evidente ! La costruzione è ottima , molto bello da vedere, silenzioso, sposta molta aria ( NON VIBRA ad alte velocità di rotazione come il precedente ) .Il telecomando è comodo ! MOLTO solido , alcune parti in metallo altre in plastica ! Consiglio questo prodotto ! Il prezzo (90 €) è corretto , vale la cifra ! Acquistato da AMAZON, come sempre spedizione perfetta !!!!!!!!!!!!
