Solid tool, room for improvement
This is a hardened steel tool with well engineered pegs. The only problem is it’s not quite deep enough ir wide enough at the center to go over the inner axle bolt (see picture), I used a tapered step drill to widen the centre in the right place. Unless you do this, or remove the inner axle the tool won’t sit flush and you bay damage the slots on the freewheel. I suggest using the outer wheel but to hold the tool in place so you can use a socket with a breaker bar to remove the freewheel easily

Did it’s job
Done the job was a pain in the ... to do with only a spanner and a weak woman to hold the wheel but tool held up ok

Does the job
Worked well for taking the freewheel off the back of my single speed bike. Seems like a sturdy little tool and the fact that it is a standard Park Tool size means I did not have to buy an extra spanner as the one on the Park Tool chain whip does the job.

Fits Shimano 16T freewheel nicely. Good quality.
Top quality as you would expect from Park. Used on my single speed shimsno 16T freewheel and fits nicely. I used the FRW1 puller (I have the old version so the FR6 doesn't fit completely inside the puller) and I just needed to lightly tap the end of the puller with a hammer.

Good tools.
I've found that all of the Park Tools tools that I've bought have been a great success, well made, durable and effective. This one fits a single speed Shimano freewheel just right.

Just what my son needed
Arrived quickly and used the same day. Did the job perfectly (though my son would say that was down to him rather than the tool!)

Remove single speed freewheel
Needed to remove DNP single speed freewheel as it was sounding rough. I had tried the hammer and drift method to remove it with no luck. The freewheel had 8 notches but on measuring them I hoped that the 4 prongs on the FR-6 might work. The tool fitted snug in 4 of the notches. It needed a large wrench with the wheel on the ground so I could put some weight on it but it came off relatively easily. Shows what can be done with the right ( or near enough) tool.

Park Tool es calidad, pero hay cosas en las que no se aprecia tanta diferencia. Funcioinar funciona bien, ojo que hay otra herramienta similar para otro tipo de piñones, fíjate que valga para tu piñón

Fits and works well on many 4 and 8 slot freewheels. Old school and mid school bmxers need one of these!
