I absolutely love this coffee carafe. I should have bought one years ago. Not only does it look great, its elegant smooth curves are really easy to keep clean. It's hygienic and it pours well. It's sturdy and well made. Working from home, I get 6 good size mugs of coffee or ginger tea from it. I suspect I'm saving a little bit on electric too, with the amount of hot drinks I usually have every day. Despite the lid being plastic, it retains the heat better than I expected. I can even wake up to a hot coffee in the morning without having to venture downstairs and put the kettle on if I'm feeling lazy, so that really helps on cold mornings. It comes with a great little bottle cleaner too. I've had it for a few months now, and so far, so good. It's all round a great product 👍

With every penny a prisoner these days due to the Electricity increases, I thought I'd try to find a way to save a little money on heating up my filter coffee after it went cold. Normally, I'd make a 1.8ltr filter pot of coffee, pour one out to drink and then let the rest go cold and later on, pouring some out in a mug and heating it in the microwave for a few minutes. Now, as soon as the coffee pot is brewed, I pour it straight into the jug and it stays hot enough to drink without needing to heat it up for most of the day. (like most 'Thermos style' flasks and jugs, works even better if you can 'pre-heat' the flask, although I rarely do as that defeats the object of saving energy). It stays pretty warm (at least for me) for a good 6-8 hours (depending on how much is left in, of course) and have even made a late night pot just for one cup before bed, and the rest was still hot enough in the morning! However, if you want it 'blisteringly hot', then I'm afraid you will still probably have to re-heat it in the micro, but even then, only half the time you may have done in the past (assuming you re-heated your coffee this way). I'm extremely pleased with this item...even if it saves me a minute microwaving, it's at least going to pay for itself eventually.

If you want warm water, you can try it. Poured boiling water in the morning, one hour later it became warm water, 3 hours later became room temperature water. Don't buy it if you want hot water!

I bought this because energy prices are so high and I am terrible for putting the kettle on for coffee etc. Initially I bought the 1 litre version and I do like that a lot, but it is 1 litre. This 2 litre version is still really pleasant to the eye, but more importantly it keeps the boiling water warm for well over 12 hours. I never leave it long enough to check for longer usage as ,for me, 12 hours is more than enough. I know you can buy cheaper, but for me, the price was certainly worth it. It is a pleasant off white, easy to open and easy to pour. Unlike many, it doesn't need you to expose the inside to cold air when you want to pout some out, hence keeping it as hot as can be. We have used it every day and never once been unhappy with it. Recommended. When I have my stove on, I just put a kettle on the top, heat the water, put into this and I literally have free hot water.

First, the short version. I need three things of a coffee flask: keep coffee hot; pour easily; clean easily. This does none of these well. Here's the long version, to add context. If you fill this full of two litres of coffee and don't pour any out it may well keep it hot for hours. But I wouldn't know, because that's not really what happens in practice. I'm not a caterer, I'm just a guy who makes a jug of coffee in the morning to stay hot while I work. My coffee maker makes less than two litres of coffee - there's a limit to how wired I want to spend the day - so in defence of the flask I'm not filling it full to start with. But obviously, as the morning goes on, I'm pouring more and more out of it, so there's progressively less hot liquid in there. And very much less hot is what it is. My old flask does a much better job; I only bought this because it felt like something more geared to working from home life rather than gadding about with the flask. Just something designed to sit on the table looking like it belongs there, and pour easily. But it doesn't pour easily. The design looks like it ought to, but in practice, when it's half full, pouring shifts the centre of gravity in a way the handle isn't really designed to carefully control, so it surges out - maybe into the cup, maybe beyond it - and then goes back on itself and dwindles to a flow which then dribbles down the front of the spout onto the table. It was maddening and completely disrupted my workflow. After the third spillage and trips to the kitchen to get a cloth to clean it up, I ended up keeping one beside it and a cloth beneath it. Not a great look to the workspace. Filling it and cleaning it are a pain. The lid doesn't open completely clear of it, so even getting the coffee in involved as much spillage as getting it out again. And as for cleaning it, the doodab they provide immediately fell apart inside and I had to fish that out too. I sit at a desk for a lot of the day. I just want to reach out and pour some coffee and it be hot. What I want is the opposite of a palaver, and unfortunately, a palaver is exactly what this jug delivered at every stage of use. It's heading back to Amazon after a very short stay. 😕

This makes a wonderful teapot for two.It keeps the tea hot when we forget we've made it .I love the popping sound it makes when you press the button to open the hole and pour .It pours gently .It's a great little pot ,so easy to use ,would highly recommend.
