Einhell Cordless Strimmer 18V Power X-Change, 30cm Cutting Width, Battery Garden Strimmer Cordless Grass Cutter And Lawn Edger, Without Battery GE-CT 18/30 Li Grass Trimmer

As I bough into the Einhell range I decided I wanted a cordless Strimmer. This works really well even on a 2.5ah battery but whack a 5a.h and it really steps up. Spools perfectly. Good balance and adjustable handles makes trimming and edging easy. A battery lasts 4 strims of my large garden with ease. Would recommend

No problem to set up , nice and light easy to handle compared to my previous electric model .

Einhell Power X-Change GE-CT 18/30 Li Grass Trimmer I bought this to replace a very old Flymo corded strimmer which I’ve had for more years than I will admit to and having bought an Einhell cordless mower, I thought it wuld make things easier and it has. This trimmer is very easy to use, height adjustable (although if you are over 6’ tall it might not be that great for you), and the head can go through various angles to allow you to trim edges, cut flat up to flowers and lower to almost horizontal to cut underneath things. My Einhell mower uses two batteries, so I use of them in the trimmer to do that job, then replace it in the mower to mow the grass. Very easy and very quick and what used to take me a couple of hours with power cables, unrolling them, moving them out of the way of the mower, winding them back up again – now takes me a little over an hour to do the same job. The wheels are excellent for rolling along the ground to make sure you get an even edge, but the trimmer does kick up a lot of dirt and cuttings which my Flymo never did. Not much of problem really but perhaps wear safety glasses just in case? It is also pretty quiet – still noisy but much quieter than my old Flymo. The spool line is really easy to extend, but this is the weakest point of the whole thing because the line is very thin at about 1.2mm and it breaks very easily. There is also just over half a spool’s worth which is pretty miserable. Once this one wears out, I’ll try replacing it with a heavier line. You have to do a little bit of self-assembly which is almost relatively straightforward, but the plastic guard has a tiny screw to lock it into the trimmer, and this is pest to tighten. I ended up removing the spool line, then removed the spring underneath it, then unscrewed the head of the motor that makes the spool trimmer spin. This gave me complete access to the hole to get the screw in and without worrying about losing it underneath the spool line or the head (which is had done on a previous attempt). While I had this all removed, I also put some Gorilla tape over the screw heads as well, in case the protective shield ever need to be replaced. Similar screws on my old Flymo had rusted into place and were totally solid, so I hope this may help in the off chance it needs to be removed. All in all then, 4 stars from me. I have deducted a star because I think the handle could be longer to suit taller people, the tiny screw to lock the guard in place seems out of place and could be done differently, and the spool line isn’t as good or as long as it could be. However, I am happy to recommend this trimmer and it has certainly made edging and cutting down grass much quicker.

Good powerful strimmer. Remember it doesn't come with a battery. Probably as effective as out mains-powered one and lighter.

Good quality and very practical. Folds away to very small size so easy to stowe away anywhere in the shed or for transportation. Nicely light. tillting head helps to reach everywhere in the garden. Edge trimming wheels makes so much easier to strim edges of the lawn - which looks way tider after!

Nice and light weight strimmer with extendable handle making it ideal for me. Works well and I l8ke the auto feed on the strommer spoil. Good price and the lawn edger wheel is a useful addition

Excellent cordless strimmer lightweight and very easy to use, having a Einhell hedge trimmer I had no hesitation in replacing my old strimmer with this, highly recommended
