This Bench Vise is a beast! It’s solid, heavy-duty, and holds everything firmly in place. The 360° swivel base locks tight and makes adjustments easy. Perfect for my workshop — great quality and excellent value for the price.

This is an initial review since I just got this vise; the most important quality in a vise is durability, so take it with a grain of salt. My old vise was an older US made Craftsman that failed due to a design flaw: it only used one screw to lock the rotation, which caused excessive force on the base and it cracked under moderate use. I like that this vise uses two locking screws, which should make it more durable. I also like the full 360 degrees of rotation, it adds a bit of convenience. The spring tension on the lead screw is higher as well, which prevents chattering, especially when the jaws are open near their limits. The action of the lead screw and rotation is very smooth, both much appreciated. The powder coating seems of reasonable quality, though mine did arrive with a small chip on a corner, it won't affect functionality. The only slight downside is that when fully closed, the jaws do not quite line up perfectly. However, they are close and not likely to cause any issues. The included soft jaws are full of features like bolt holders, and the built in magnets make them easy to take on and off. Overall not perfect, but great value for the money.

Decent bench vise that works well for general household use. The jaws operate smoothly and hold tight and the vise seems solid. So far it has held up with no issues though I have mostly used it for lighter work. I purchased separate magnetic jaw covers to provide a non-marring surface for more delicate items. I also had to purchase longer bolts as the ones included are about a half inch too short to be of any use. Overall, this is a great choice at a reasonable price.

Bought the 6 inch on sale. Decent machined surfaces for smooth clamping and rotation of jaws. Lubricated clamping screw immediately after purchasing. Saw some bad reviews of smaller jawed versions failing/cracking so decided only to purchase 6 inch version. This seems substantial enough for home projects, although if I was using professionally I would most likely upgrade. Decent clamping strength and excellent bonus to have soft jaw attachments. Overall happy to have for home use. Nitpicks: - Jaws slightly misaligned (edges of clamping surface not perfectly aligned, but perfectly parallel), however, that should not affect real world usage. - Bolts supplied are too short unless you plan to mount on surface 1/4 inch or less, requiring additional expense and trip to hardware store. For my situation the mounting bolts needed to be about 1/2inch longer. I figure the included soft jaws would have cost me more than the bolts, so decent trade off.

I was skeptical of this vise for such a low price but it’s been great. It’s super sturdy and works for 99% of my needs. I like how it includes the bolts and nuts to connect it. I also like the black color so it fits perfectly in my shop. Nothing moves when clamped, high quality material. No need for those $200+ vises at all unless you’re building conference tables daily.
