This item is reasonably priced and appears to be well made. I bought it for detecting nails and screws etc., in reclaimed wood. It works perfectly for my use.

Absolute garbage. Detects a metal radiator but nothing small like a screw or a nail. This product is completely non functional for its stated purpose. Do not buy under any circumstances.

I purchased this Pinpointer to locate metalwork embedded in timber prior to running through a planer / thicknesser. It's sensitivity is good depending on whether you use the end or the blade (side). Plastic casing, comes with a handy belt clip and pouch, and easy to use. I've had it a couple of years with the same batteries, but then it's not used every day.

Ich nutze diesen Pinpointer als Ergänzung zu meinem Metalldetektor und bin mit der Funktion sehr zufrieden. Das Gerät erleichtert das genaue Lokalisieren von Funden erheblich und spart beim Graben viel Zeit. Die 360°-Erkennung funktioniert zuverlässig und reagiert präzise, sobald man sich dem Metall nähert. Der Pinpointer liegt gut in der Hand und ist kompakt genug, um ihn bequem mitzuführen. Besonders praktisch ist das mitgelieferte Gürtelholster, sodass man ihn beim Suchen jederzeit griffbereit hat. Die LED-Anzeige unterstützt zusätzlich bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen. Die Verarbeitung macht einen robusten Eindruck. Dank der IP66-Zertifizierung lässt sich der Pinpointer auch bei feuchtem Boden oder leichtem Regen problemlos einsetzen. Die Bedienung ist einfach gehalten und nach kurzer Zeit intuitiv. Auch nach mehreren Monaten im Einsatz befindet sich das Gerät weiterhin in einem guten Zustand. Es zeigt keine Ausfälle oder Abnutzungserscheinungen und funktioniert zuverlässig wie am ersten Tag. Die Stromversorgung über eine 9V-Batterie ist unkompliziert, der Batteriewechsel schnell erledigt. Insgesamt wirkt das Gerät gut durchdacht und langlebig.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and functionality of this pinpointer. It easily detected items in the ground and in the dirt plug about 1-2 inches from the detector. The holster and lanyard are a nice bonus as well. The owner's manual was surprisingly useful also. Again, not expected at all and worth the time to review. I would not have learned about the "Detuning" function. Not sure I would trust the "Waterproof"ness of it though.

It does what it's supposed to do within a few inches and since it's a free-flowing sweep you can fairly easily determine the hits on point. It's a good price (at the moment I bought it) for what it does. I'm using it for standard purposes, but also to find nails in a garden surround before I take a chainsaw to it. Worth the money for sure when it comes to safely ripping something down with a chainsaw.
