Rimmel London Oh My Gloss! Lip Gloss, 26 My Eternity, 6.5 ml

I picked up the Rimmel London Lip Gloss in Crystal Clear, and it's become a staple in my makeup bag. The formula is lightweight and non-sticky, making it comfortable to wear throughout the day. It provides a high-shine finish that enhances my lips without being overwhelming. The applicator is easy to use, allowing for precise application. I love that it can be worn alone for a natural look or layered over lipstick to add some extra gloss. The scent is subtle and not overpowering, which is a plus for me. One thing to note is that the gloss doesn't have much staying power on its own. I find that I need to reapply after eating or drinking. However, for the price point, I don't mind the frequent touch-ups. Overall, I'm pleased with this lip gloss and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, everyday gloss that delivers a nice shine.

My old one is almost empty so I've decided to buy a new one. I don't remember where I bought my old one but the one that I just got smells a little bit like the blue Nivea cream and I do not like that (4 stars because of the smell). It came with a packaging (just a plastic stip around it). The color is the same, the consistency as well. I love the silver sparcles, looks natural and juicy on cool toned skin. I'd buy it again, but not from here. Hopefully the smell will be different.

I use this product in Oh La La. I get compliments on it regularly, asking which lip product I use (I am not someone who is asked beauty questions, for reference). It adds just enough red to still look natural but brighten up my pale face at the same time. I am never without this product: in the car, at home, at work, in my purse, etc. I find Rimmel glosses are the only ones that really work for me (lip balms and chapstick-type applications are not protective or moisturizing enough). It can be sticky, but I prefer glosses to be that way. It is not overly shiny. I reapply all the time, especially after eating and drinking. At this price, it is something you can afford to buy frequently and several at a time.

I desperately needed a lip balm and/or lip gloss that would remedy my severely chapped lips. I live in the upper Midwest where cold weather is already setting in which also means that my skin and lips are getting really dry. I was genetically born with dry skin and lips. Over the course of years, I've tried so many brands of lip gloss that you commonly get in any store and none of them lasted longer than an hour for me. So I decided to look for a brand on Amazon that maybe was different from the regular brands with possibly natural ingredients in them. I stumbled on this one. I purchased the Crystal Clear lip gloss and as the name suggests, it's one that has absolutely no color taint. I wanted a clear one because as I mentioned above, I wanted a gloss to remedy my dry lips rather for glamor. I have to say I am extremely pleased with this brand. As soon as I received this gloss, I tried it on and already noticed a huge difference. My lips felt hydrated and slightly warm. I know this sounds nasty but a few hours (about 4?) after the first application, dead layers of skin started flaking off so I washed my lips and re-applied this lip gloss. Now my lips felt noticeably different and moisturized. I decided I would apply this gloss one more time (third time) before going to bed so my lips would be hydrated while I sleep. The next day, I applied the gloss in the morning again. This is where I took the two pictures (attached in this review). One picture shows my lips in full day light while the other is in indoor light. Can you even tell my lips were badly chapped?! That's how this product miraculously worked on me! It is now almost 6 days since I have been using this product as I write this review and my lips continue to feel moisturized. On two other occasions, more flakey skin came off but not much. Also, I only apply this gloss twice a day and another lip balm (Dr. Bronner's - also available on Amazon - that I use once a day) and that's it! Now on to more specifics. The gloss works for me beyond 6 hours when I don't eat or drink. If I eat, I have to re-apply the gloss again after eating. When I drink however, sometimes the gloss has stayed on but I have to re-apply it on occasions where I've had several sips from a cup or glass. A very interesting titbit, the gloss does not stick to the cup as normally glosses do! The gloss has a faint smell which very eerily resembles a brand of lipstick that I used in my childhood, which was also made in England. The smell is mild and pleasant but fades away after a while. The only minor issue with this lip gloss and any other lip gloss I have ever used. Most lip glosses are gooey, some are less, others are more. This lip gloss is of a quite gooey consistency which means that when I apply it, my lips constantly feel warm and a constant feeling that there's something on them. Because the benefit of this lip gloss outweighs this issue, I'm starting to let go off that reminder that there's something in my lips. I've known one person in my life who couldn't wear anything on her lips if she is constantly reminded of it - so if you are that kind of person, this lip gloss may not work for you. Otherwise, ladies please try this lip gloss. It's the only gloss among so, SO MANY others that actually works on my ridiculous lips! Edit: 12/27/16: I have since purchased the 'Rebel Red' lip gloss and it works just as well as the clear gloss. The rebel red is NOT red but more of a burgundy rose. The color looks sizzling in indoor lighting and holds up well provided you don't eat or drink. If it fades, a simple one time re-application does the trick to keep the color intact. Great purchase and 5 stars for the rebel red gloss as well.
