As with most books in the 'for Dummies' range this book is superb. Starts off with the absolute beginners guide and steadily draws the reader into a world of advanced VBA with practical easy to follow examples. Super book, delivered on time and in excellent condition.

I usually don't buy used books, that was for my husband because it's an old version and couldn't find it anywhere else. To the point now the quality of the book is very good as new, clean and no marks, no damages etc. Arrived 2 days faster than Amazon predicted by a courier. Very happy with my purchase. Thanks seller, i will definitely buy more. I will recommend this seller.

A very useful book, especially when used in conjunction with excel VBA live training courses. However the best way to learn VBA is via live courses which are plentiful on Youtube for free!

One of the best Stats books I have come across. Concepts explained very clearly and kept me interested throughout.

My job doesn't require me to write Excel VBA code every day. Therefore, since buying the book I've hardly used it. According to my Kindle I've read 31% of it, but I remember harldy anything from it. I only need VBA when I need to write macros to do a paritcular job every now and then. Thus, due to the demands of my job, I found it was more efficient to Google and watch demonstration videos online or obtain code provided in forums. A book can't assist the same way so if your requirement to use Excel VBA is limited like mine, then I don't recommend buying this book or any book like it. However, if you learn best via books then I fully recommend it based on the 31% I have read. Though I don't remember much of the content, I do remember the learning experience which was positive. I was completely new to code when I needed to learn VBA and John Walkenbach did a great job in helping me to take the first steps and build my confidence. If there was a video version of this book, I'd purchase it. But, in this ever increasing fast paced world, I just don't have time to learn via books any more.

5 Stars because it hit the mark for a For Dummies book. I'm considering a work problem and this got me thinking about some of the wider issues I need to consider, beyond code, that have be taken into account. That said the book is primarily for developers and technical users.

If you don't know where to start with Excel VBA, this book is very helpful. Don't mistake the beginning for the end: this book points you in the right direction, but it can't help you MASTER VBA. If you follow the directions, you will learn how to start exploring the world of VBA and how to teach yourself--this book is only meant to give you the framework to hang later learnings upon. Overall, very clear, a well-thought-out sequence, and I LOVED the intro to "object oriented programming." Ignore reviews complaining that the book didn't tell them how to do this or that particular thing. The purpose is to get you oriented, and to empower you to start looking for other resources to solve this or that particular problem. The book does a marvelous job in outlining the main points of what Excel VBA is all aobut.

Best book on excel VBA.

Ottimo libro. Molto chiaro e molto utile per avvicinarsi alla programazione VBA in Excel e acqusire una visione d'insieme del linguaggio di programmazione, delle sue regole e su come utilizzarlo al meglio. Mi è stato molto più utile questo libro che certe "bibbie" da oltre 1000 pagine. Poi, per andare in profondità su certe tematiche e soluzioni applicative non c'è comunque risorsa migliore che il web.

It does adress VBA learning from the very basics of it. Helps build understanding for the nex learning level, for sure.
