The look and feel of the stand is identical to that of Apple iMacs and the Apple Studio Display, looks very stylish and premium. The iPad snaps to the stand with a good amount of grip. It’s sturdy whilst still being able to remove the iPad one-handed if you tilt it off at the right angle. The iPad rotates on the stand without too much force but doesn’t feel loose in any way. The stand can tilt making it versatile for different uses, but the height is not adjustable, which I already knew and it did not present any issues (I would rather have a single sturdy piece than one that’s multiple parts). Size is just right. Price is on the higher end but seems appropriate for the material and finish quality.

Great purchase! Looks really cool and holds my portable monitor well! Bought a couple products from Elago and haven’t been disappointed yet! Glad they have separate magnet adhesives available to purchase also.

Let me start with the positives, the simplicity of this magnet stand is a great design. Having color options is a plus. The included magnet is very strong, well done. The stands articulation is very smooth. It is a little trivial removing your iPad from the stand without the stand coming with it. Show the quality of the magnets used which I applied to my iPad clear cover after cleaning the surface with alcohol to make for an oil free surface to give the adhesive the best opportunity to work. I'm very pleased over all with my purchase. And now the negatives, the item was shipped in its original box only, arrived a bit crushed. There needs to be a standard for items at curtain price points. Thankfully the stand was not damaged from shipping. Reading the description the company emphases quality of its product and manufacturing. My stand arrived with a few flaws in its finish, it had several minor dents that you could feel running your hand over the edges, I almost returned it based on these findings but decided to live with these imperfections after weighing my immediate needs, the time to drop off and wait for the refund to try and buy the same item later and hope it arrives in a perfect state. This is the only reason I stand wasn't given all 5 stars. It's a sold piece, could be more stable with a heavier base and the angles nailed it.

usability is worse than competitor products ( less adjustable, ipad easily detaches (weak hold), requires elago case or ring for attachment, despite the ipad already containing a copious amount of magnets ) BUT LOOK AT THAT BASE-- machining art, done in the same design language as apple's display products easily the most beautiful ipad stand however, though you will trade some ease-of-use for the privilege

Wish I would have bought this a long time ago, built as good as any Apple product. Perfect height to use instead of wobbly case triangles, it is expensive but will last forever. Works with phones just as good as tablets, but really you want this for the large tablets. If you have a firm bed this will stand on it just fine in case you don't have room for a side table in your setup, but it's too heavy for (most) couches to stand up on. You can spin the tablet into any position without losing the magnetic grip which is nice, feels kind of like a kiosk in that way. It is worth noting that this can easily scratch tablets and other surfaces (it's a chunk of metal) so might be worth getting some silicon to dull the edges a bit. I move mine around a lot throughout the house, it may be worth it just to buy a few of these instead imo.

I got this stand because I wanted a desk top set up for my iPad and it has blown me away. It looks just like a Mac desktop, it is sleek and very clean looking. Nice and heavy and has rubber on the bottom so it is not moving all around the desk surface. It comes with a magnetic adhesive to stick on the back of your iPad but I got the Magnetic Folio case by Elago since I do not want to stick anything to my iPad as I switch cases when I bring my iPad to class. In my opinion it is a must buy to use with the Elago magnetic stand.

Doesn’t have the magnet built in to hold an iPad. Waste.

It’s a quality piece of metal with enough weight that it won’t slide when using your Apple Pencil. it resembles apple industrial design language and comes in a few colors. I do wish I could get a green one. Downsides all within range of motion. Horizontal rotation is limited and vertical rotation requires a bit of strength. Went back and forth between three and four stars. Gave 4 because this is a quality stand considering how few options are out there. Still hoping for a proper “pro” solution in the future.

Great for my iPad Air. I use it as a second screen when studying on my MacBook. The stand itself feels sturdy. Magnet feels strong. Easily able to rotate and adjust. I like working at a 90° angle so this is great.
