Best Microwave we've ever owned!
Had this machine from Amazon for 7 years now! It's still looks new, space age and works brilliantly. I only came back to check the model number as I need to download instructions to check Defrost program as we're doing a bit more defrosting of frozen pet food - so thought I'd post a review while I'm here. Can't recommend it enough!

Great microwave
Needed a new microwave after our old turntable one started having pools of water at the bottom. We decided on a flatbed one for a change as it would make life alot easier with bigger plates/containers. Had a look at a few and saw this one, looks very nice and 800w. Pros:- *Arrived the next day (amazon prime) *Nicely packaged *Easy to setup including changing the clock time *Looks very nice *Easy enough to use (i only really use standard and defrost) *Nice and large interior for larger/square plates *Easy to clean, a cloth will do the trick *Display is easy to understand *Wire is long enough to have a choice on where you want it but not too long it gets in the way Cons:- *Honestly i haven't found any yet I would recommended this for anyone needing a new microwave, first flat bed microwave i have bought and i am glad i did.

Even heat, easy to use and clean
I tested the evenness of heating using three frankfurters (regular shapes with homogenous moist contents!). After about 40 seconds on full power and 30 seconds rest I found them to be more evenly heated than in the equivalent oven with a turntable that this one replaced. All microwaved food should be stirred where possible, and left to rest after it comes out of the oven. I suspect some other reviewers may have unrealistic expectations, but having owned quite a few ovens with turntables I am pretty sure this one heats more evenly than any of them. This may not be true of the corners - I have not tried any very large dishes in it yet. I don't understand the comments from some about the controls being difficult to use. Without looking at the manual I was able to set the clock and use the time and weight-based defrost functions, set the power level and the cooking time. There may be some functions I have missed, but for all the basics I find it extremely easy to use. The enamelled inside makes it easy to clean. At first, I was a bit worried to see that the lightbulb can be changed only by authorised service personnel. But since the "bulb" is an LED it should last along time - probably as long at the whole oven I guess.

Nice microwave
It's a nice microwave, could be a little cheaper. Without a turntable, cleaning is much easier, internal space seams more and don't catch items on the turntable when removing or inserting (annoying if liquid based and causes drops). Mainly used to heat liquid based foods (i.e. drinks, cook rice, pasta, etc.) and defrost. Seams to perform these tasks well and evely heats, although liquids are never sensitive to this. Power is not the highest (800W), but still reasonably fast for low usage. To use, it's nice to have the +30s button, that makes it fast and easy to heat a drink for a minute etc, but for longer times, it can be a little tiresome to press 20 times for 10 minutes, etc. Maybe their is an easier way to do that, but i didn't see it. Clock function is nice and easy to set.

Russel Hobbs once again show where they do best with this very impressive microwave
After the dismal let down by Russel Hobbs, when I recently bought a carpet cleaner, had to return it and the replacement is also of poor standards, I gave Russel Hobbs the benefit of doubt. I was really hoping that the carpet cleaner was just a one off poorp quality product as Russel Hobbs have been reliable for me for a few decades. I am so happy that I did give them the benefit of doubt and I must have been correct in the carpet cleaner being a one off bad decision by them as I am very pleased with this Russel Hobbs microwave. This microwave is a replacement for my two year old Russel Hobbs as I wanted something a little more exciting than the other one. After removing this microwave from ther box, putting it on the worktop, plugging it in and switching on, I was very impressed with the looks. OK, so, looks may only be cosmetic and function is more important. That is what I usually believe so I tried it and was even more impressed. This microwave is nowhere near as noisy as my other Russel Hobbs, I couldn't even hear it when I momentarilly left the kitchen. I heard the ping when the food was cooked but sadly that is where Russel Hobbs have changed something that was useful. My other microwave pings when the timer runs down but also reminds me with pings every minute after, until I open the door and remove the food. This microwave doesn't use reminder pings so if one is distracted the food will go cold before it is remembered. I cannot reduce the score for this microwave because of the lack of reminder pings as creates low noise due to having no turntable and no plates rattling away. It is very impressive cosmetically and even more impressive when on and all the touch control light are activated. I highly recommend this product as once again Russel Hobbs have proven that they can produce top quality products at a reasonable price but they should stick to kettles, microwaves, toasters, irons etc. as that is what they do best and they should keep away from vaccuums and carpet washers as that is where I have lost faith in them. Buy this microwave and like myself, you will be impressed....
