One solution would be just to draw a hard line and ban football in the house, but why bother when £6 will give you a solution? This ball has been excellent, firm enough to play true, especially compared to a classic plastic beach ball, and light enough to keep the damage to a minimum. Obviously it will knock over cups of tea and lamps, but that is its momentum causing things to fall over rather than its force of impact causing damage. We have been using it daily for a month and aside from lots of soot stains (fireplace!) it is in great condition. For the price I had figured that we'd be happy if we got a few weeks out of it. Recommended.

Bought this for my 1 year old son, who loves throwing anything and kicking footballs. It's ideal for a toddler wishing to let out some energy, especially whilst in the home. Guaranteed it wont break those glass ornaments or so in your homes. It's good for garden play too. It's nicely soft but firm at the same time, the size is of standard footballs sold in shops. Had this ball for a month yet and the colour and texture is still as new as ever. Gets your kids as active as ever!

This is, as you might expect, a sponge football. I love sponge footballs. There used to be loads of them about. That was partly because they were less likely to break windows in the playground, or make a loud bang when smashing against the fence. (That's why I bought this one.) I like this product so much I've bought it twice. So five stars for the sponge football. But times have changed. A while ago I also bought an official UEFA ball, the very same Ronaldo lines up for his free kicks. I can't remember exactly how much it cost. I suspect it was less than twice as much as this ball costs. NINE POUNDS. NINE ENGLISH POUNDS. I have a job. You have a job. This sponge football is quantifiable as the time value of our labour. HOW CAN IT COST NINE POUNDS? How can this be capitalism? What market is operation here? If anyone has a sponge football making machine please drop me a line. As long as it costs less than NINE BILLION BILLION POUNDS I will raise finance and buy it.
