3568 Digital Timing Light

What a joy, tuning the car is normally a bit tricky as the rev counter is in the cabin and I used to jog round the car to check if the adjustments are correct. This gives an immediate result, and is better for optimising the emissions then watching a gas analyser. So the strobe is ideal for the initial timing setup, but the fine adjustment needs a rev counter.

Had this for a good 6 months, use it quite a bit, works perfectly, rev counter is very useful as is the timing advance feature. Definitely recommend this product

Fairly intuitive controls with built in tachometer. Easy to set the advance, really useful on my car which doesn't have fine enough timing marks. You can switch off the strobe to preserve bulb life. The only downside I found was the reset for the advance was too near my thumb, so I'd keep putting it back to zero. Was fine once I remembered not to be clumsy! Not sure if the lamp is bright enough if you are outdoors, was fine in my garage. I didn't get the case seen in some of the user photos above, so if you are expecting one (it isn't featured in the seller info) then you might be disappointed. It picked the spark on my 70s classic up much better than my old, cheap, Gunson unit which I'd used for years. Highly recommended.

Tachometer worked fine, but strobe did not flash at all. If Innova quality control is this bad, it makes one dubious about the accuracy IF it did strobe!!

I had no timing marks on my 1939 Alvis just a notch at TDC - so this was invaluable in setting the correct advance!

Compared to the old MSD timing gun that I have, this Innova one is worth every cent. Very bright and made of good quality plastic. I can't judge on the accuracy but the quality and features are really good.

Nice, well made, timing light for home repairs. Though maybe not tough enough for a professional mechanic, this timing light works great for us amateurs. I checked the timing on my vehicle using both the flywheel marks and the marks on the idler pulley in bright sunlight and the strobe on this timing light was still bright enough that I could see the mark. It seems well made and sturdy and was very easy to use. I chose the model with the built-in tachometer because I was doing the work alone. If you have help, you may just want to stick with the cheaper model and have someone tell you the revs from the tachometer on the instrument cluster. This timing-light Includes a good set of instructions as well. The only downside was the packaging. I really wish manufactures of all different kinds of products would move away from using the plastic clamshell, or at the very least away from the fused clamshell. Those things are a pain to open and the sharp plastic can easily injure you when opening it. Minor issue though. The product worked as advertised and was a good price.
