20V MAX Cordless Angle Grinder Kit, 3-in. (DCS438E1)

I bought this angle grinder to do a small floor tile job. The diamond blade that came with did a great job of cut through porcelain tile slowly. You'll need to go through several passes for a deep cut line before snap the tile off clean. The dust cap attachment does wonder, but it is a bit hard to find the vaccum with exact hose size that matches. I ended up just use masking tape to create a temporary connection and it works great. Though, still wish there's an easier way to connect vaccum. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase, there will be plenty of uses to come.

I am simply amazed. It ripped through 3/4 marble shockingly well. Had to trim tile that was already on the wall and did so well. The tool itself is fantastic. Obviously straight cuts depend on the person not the tool but I’m no pro and the cuts were perfect. Yes, perfect! It did everything I asked it to. Used it for other projects and as long as you use the correct blade it does exactly what it should. Unknown longevity but all my dewalts have lasted forever so I expect the same.

Love the tool, many options to use around the house. Great power and value. Portable and accessible.

Works great cuts well

Its wheel is small. Which is both awesome and not. I used this for clean cuts through drywall and cement board as I put a fireplace back together. With the right blade it does perfect straight lines and makes life so easy. You could use this on flooring and whatever else. Up to you, it can do it fast and easy. It cuts cleaner than a sawzaw or multi tool. It can fit under sinks for pipes and cut counter tops. If you needed one tool to get a lot of stuff done very well, this is it.

Purchased this to cut through floor tile, it did a great job but it has poor battery life. Needs to be charged after only 10-15 minutes of use.

I like this tool. It will save my air compressor a lot of work. I have always used an air tool for cutting. That was a task. The compressor would run out of air and I would have to wait. Not this tool. I was cutting 1/4" steel plate. It did get a little warm, not hot. I had to make several cuts, a couple of them long. It does have a safety feature that I think other reviewers misunderstood. When the disc gets in a bind, the motor can stop. Once through the plate, I could cut in full feed mode. With all the cutting, I did go through 5 cutoff discs. Expected. The tool came with a steel guard under the vacuum guard. I removed the vacuum guard. The vacuum guard is plastic and not made for cutting metal. The motor has plenty of power. When it arrived, the battery that came with it wasn't fully charged and quickly ran out. I hooked up one of my 6-hour batteries and it loved that. So, you can use any 20v Dewalt battery. Before anyone asks, I don't know about the 60/20v flex batteries. I do not own one. When cutting metal, I suggest wearing all your safety gear. Sparks fly everywhere. It did come with a charger. Personally, I did not need one, I have others as I have many Dewalt 20v tools. Even with the 6-hour battery attached, I found it light enough and well-balanced for working. It did not wear me out. I don't know what else to say to show my liking for this tool. It is worth the money.
