UPDATE 2: My other review is for red shrimp, this one is for blue. They are the same species, but just a different color morph. I will copy and paste this review on the other because I consider it all part of the same experience. The short: My third time buying from this vendor means I am satisfied and that I do recommend this vendor. The long: All of my shrimp (I ordered 20) arrived alive. A few extra were included (just in case some didn't make the trip). The shrimp are well packed and insulated. I wouldn't order them all year around, be sensible about the temperature in your area. I live where it is nice this time of year but too hot for live shipping in the summer. I have a narrow window to order stuff like this so them arriving alive is very important. They have a 'arrive alive' guarantee but if it is too hot (or too cold) then it doesn't really matter. Getting it right the first time is what counts. They did get it right. There were also some fry (AKA babies) in with the adults. This is something that cannot be helped when bagging the adults. I collected them and put them in a different tank so they can grow in peace. Having fry in with the adults is a good sign that the mother colony is vibrant. Conclusion: It's always a gamble to buy live animals online and have them shipped. The trick is to improve the odds buy purchasing at the right time of year and from a vendor that manages for weather and other issues that can come up. I'm pleased. UPDATE: After several months the shrimp from the first order thrived. So I ordered again. The second order was not as good as the first. The first had extra shrimp. This one only had the 10 and 3 of them were dead on arrival. I will still buy from this vendor though. The shrimp are excellent and some loss is reasonable. I just wish they had put extra like last time so I would have still ended up with 10. I live in a place that has warm weather, even this time of year. I was worried about the shrimp. They came to the mail box, which worried me even more. Fortunately, I got a notification and was home so I was able to get them out within two minutes. I took the box home and opened it to find it full of insulation material in the middle of which was an insulated pouch in which the shrimp were placed. They put in extra shrimp just in case so instead of the 10 I ordered there were 14. That's a nice bonus. Even nicer is the fact that they were all alive. Not only alive, but quite lively. None of them were lethargic or showed any signs the journey had been tough on them. I acclimated them via drip for about an hour and a half and then introduced them to the main tank. They immediately started foraging for food and exploring the tank. It's worrisome to buy livestock online and I have only done it three times. One of those times was a disaster which kept me from doing it again for a long time. It was the live arrival guarantee that pursuaded me, and the fact that the purchase is through Amazon. I am pleased with the purchase, the speed of shipping, and the condition of the shrimp. That leads me to one more point that is important to make - the shrimp are large, no small ones in the bunch, and clearly have been taken well care of by the breeder as they are very bright red. All in all I couldn't be more pleased.

I ordered 10 of these Fire Red Cherry Shrimp and every single one arrived alive, healthy, and super active right out of the bag. Their color is stunning—bright red that really pops against plants and substrate. Within a day they were exploring, grazing nonstop, and adding so much life to my tank. The shrimp were carefully packed with insulation and arrived stress-free, which I really appreciate. These are definitely high-grade quality; you can see the difference compared to regular cherries sold elsewhere. Excellent quality. I purchased 10 shrimps and I was prepared to have one or two DOA. To my surprise, they were not only all alive, but I had 2 extras. 12 live, great looking shrimps. I will definitely buy from this company again. Quality stuff for sure!!!

I was really impressed with the shrimp I received. Although I saw the rave reviews there is always that fear that you will be the unlucky one to get a bunch of dead shrimp. However, they were all happily fluttering around in the bag when I took them out of the package. The clear bag was wrapped in a silver sealed bag to retain warmth with the box it was in surrounded by some sort of cotton/fiber insulation material from all sides. The bag had 13 shrimp and everyone was alive. I was also impressed with the size and the color was very nice. I did drop acclimate them at 1-2 bubbles per second for 45 minutes to give an easier transition to my tank water. I’ve seen other people who just plop them in after floating the bag and have had success as well. When I put them in they got right to work as you can see in the video cleaning up little bits of algae from my nano tank. So cool to watch as your tank is cleaned before your eyes. Thank you so much for taking the time to send high quality shrimp at an affordable price and using good quality packaging to make sure they got happily to my house. Not sure about other areas, but if I were to get this many shrimp at my local fish store it would have been over $100. So I can spend that money on other useful things for my tanks.

Needed to buy shrimps after my new betta ate the previous ones, chose this for the reviews and to support small business. Pros: Shrimps are a lot bigger than expected and the color is great but do a salt dip before putting into your tank. One of the shrimps came with a parasite, the rest seems ok but salt dipped all of them to be on the safe side. Despite all the good reviews on customer service, my experience was weird. I had 5 DOAs, so I texted the number with pictures and asked for a replacement shrimps to be sent. Took almost 3 days for a response and they are completely avoiding any kind of acknowledgement and explanation on sending replacements. They gave me a refund based on how many shrimps that were included instead of the current price/pack size of shrimps that you ordered. So even though I had 5 DOAS, they refunded only 3 (understandable since 2 were freebie shrimps) but the refund amount is based on the price/10 + # of extra shrimps included instead of the price/the actual pack size you ordered. TDLR: Shrimps seem promising was going to buy more of the other variety of shrimps but the customer service was too off-putting.
