Will not hold on porcalin tiles , not fit for use , only plus side was they stick well to pvc roofing which helps sliding the panels together

Excellent rail - sticks really well
Was dubious whether these would stick well in a shower. Needn't have worried - excellent. I hang on to one to wash my legs and feet - the rail sticks like glue to the tiles. Highly recommend.

Cumbersome but effective and safe
Quite a large device and I can't say I would use permanently. I used it as a temporary safety feature when my elderly mother came to stay over Xmas. However, it is very well designed, sturdy, and the suction is quite impressive, even on a tiled surface which was not entirely smooth - even when I released the suction, the suction pads remained firmly fixed to the wall. Hence very safe to use.

Good
Great if you fit them properly I’ve only just discovered how to fit them properly as they kept falling off or coming lose. So read the instructions fully and they’ll be fine.

some really gluey layer here
I have a similar competitors grab rail and they are nearly similar looking and similar size. this has an extra gluey layer on its suction pads. the gluey layer is kind of the one on ikea suction pads but every moe gluey so will not come loose on tile. other companies just use simple rubber plungers . this company has a dual layer rubber plunger and that gluey stuff layer on that rubber plunger. this makes this really solid feeling while attached to surfaces. however the grab handle itself isn't as solid feeling at its competitors . the plastic grab handle doesnt feel solid and lets it down in this one area only. however the main use is for it to not fall down and this beats every other grab handle I have tried. 10/10 for grab strength. 7/10 for handle squeaky ness. maybe they increase quality in future. . usability 100/100.

My newly renovated shower has one major problem: it does not have a step for leg shaving. So, I was very happy to get this “Shower Grab Bar”. 1. Quality The product is made of sturdy white plastic, with coloured inserts. The plastic is shiny so far, but I don’t know how it will look when exposed to soapy water. The product itself is waterproof, though, and is designed for bathroom use. The grab bar features suction cups that create a secure, waterproof, and safe seal on smooth surfaces. In terms of the visual appeal, this bar is not cute. It looks exactly like on the product page, sturdy and reliable, but it has no decoration power. But in my situation, as well as satisfying the safety needs, I would value comfort over appearance. The bar has a maximum weight capacity of 240 pounds (108.86 kg). My weight is below that, so stepping on it would be safe for me. 2. Installation and usage The installation, including measurement, took less than 5 minutes. I followed the steps recommended by the manual. First, I placed the grab bar on the shower wall, ensuring that the suction cups do not overlap with the seams. Then, I pressed both suction cups firmly against the wall. At this point, I realized that the position I’ve chosen is not correct. At this point, the bar was slightly sitting on the suction cups (or, so I thought), so I tried to detach it. But, even slightly pressed, the bar couldn’t detach! So, I used a small pull tongue on the edge of the cup, and luckily, it worked. Finally, I pulled down the latches on each suction cup. And it was attached absolutely securely at this point. I tried to press on it and pull it, and it wouldn’t move. When I was stepping on it in the shower, it also felt sturdy and secure. I didn’t notice any water penetration under the suction cups. Hopefully, there will be no mould growth or soap residue. Anyway, I always spray the walls with a daily shower cleaner, and then wipe the walls dry. After this procedure, the bar looked like new. By the way, I checked if the bar glows in the dark, as they promised... it didn't. Anyway, I think this is a very convenient shower appliance, both to increase comfort and security.

I should start this with the last paragraph where I've already given this five stars, told you how to apply this bar in 5-10 seconds, and why I'm getting anothe, the shorter one. If you want to read about my history with shower (or bath) grab bars, be my guest... About 10 years ago, I started to have poblems with balance. It was bad enough when I was out hiking, but I soon became concerned about slipping and/or falling in the shower. I bought a suction grab bar made by Oxy (?) and after five years it began to slip in its position on the shower wall, and last spring it started to fall off at least once a week. Seems to have good suction, but two weeks ago, I took a good look at it off the wall. The suction pads had cracked and I knew I needed a new suction bar. When I need something like this poduct which has been around 50 years, I look at what's available on Amazon. After 22 years of reading (and writing reviews), I've learned to read the one star first, and then the five star. Very often, I toss out all of the one star. A review based on the customer's carelessness is ridiculous. And those reviews with one stars because the product came damaged or "didn't work as expected" are of little value. I look at four star reviews as most reliable. That said, I'm giving this shower bar five stars! Our shower is a "one-piece" molded kind. We have no tiles and, therefore, this bar should stick well, and it sure did. I "installed" (press two levers and the thing grips the wall, the same as all the other suction products). It stuck! Boy, did it stick. I had to get a little air under the cups in order to move it. I eyeballed where I wanted it, put it in place, and repeated the five second process. I will be very surprised it this moves, falls, or doesn't protect me when I have my klutz moment. I am so pleased, I'm ordering the shorter one for the front wall (at an angle to the left of the shower head). The color changes when you're snapping these bars into place is just a gimmick. (I don't think this one has a green or red indicator ... and neither did the one that was up for five years.) When you press the tabs, the suction cups will immediately hold if you've provided even a little pressure. Don't worry if you you need to adjust it: just lift the two little tabs and get some air under the cups ... and move it. Simple. So easy to install, I'm reluctant to use the word, "install." Moveable, but take a minute or two to decide where you want it. I put mine on at an angle because it's best if there's an angle to grab on to. Horizontal bars are fine for hanging a towel or washcloth, not so good keeping 180 pounds upright.
