Good quality sounds, easy to fit and tune.
Very easy to fit. Sound is wonderful, not too bright. Easy to tune, unlike more expensive strings which can be overly sensitive. Good value for money - I would compare these particular strings to one over double their price. Good for beginners and casual players.

Nice strings for the beginner or amateur.
I bought these as I wanted to experiment with different strings, having had some issues with strings twice the price. Very pleased with the sound I'm getting. Be aware this will vary from instrument to instrument. I thought to try these as I had recently bought a D'Addario tuner which gave me the impression this company market quality products. At this price these string are definitely worth a try if you're not sure where to go with 'cheaper' strings.

When a new e string snaps
I know these are a good beginner string but the e string snapped just after fitting (must of been faulty at the ball fitting).... very annoying...... so just 4 stars this time.

High quality strings for violin. Good for beginners and intermediates
High quality strings, recommended by our daughter's violin teacher. They work brilliantly, sounds great and last a good amount of time. Durable, reasonably priced and good for beginners or intermediates.

G & D are nickel wound
Been eyeing these for a while just to try and I honestly like the sound and they seem pretty responsive. What I didn't know and can't see on the listing is that the G and D strings are Nickel wound.....not great when you're allergic XD. (Hence the rating) For anyone who wants the info; G String: Nickel wound D String: Nickel wound A String: Aluminium wound E String: Unwound

good sound
i bought the more expensive pro-arte last time but they only lasted 2 months so i bought these for less then half the price so i was expecting them to sound a bit harsh but i cant really tell the difference, maybe a touch brighter but that might be because they're new, so if there is a difference then it must be very subtle, maybe a professonal could tell. ill be sticking to these from now on and save money, i play bluegrass fiddle not classical violin

First of all I am a beginner so I can't compare it only to the strings that my rental violin came with. These strings were actually an upgrade, sound and feel pretty good and I can make them sing a little bit easier which was the goal. Now I'm sure there's better ones out there but if you're a beginner and unsure what to buy feel free to get them I think they are a good basic set of strings. Good price. Strings are quite stable, keeping tune well. I tune daily because I'm taught to but especially the A has been rock solid I think I didn't have to tune it in a week and I am checking it against tuner. These strings seem to be quite even in tone and response, working well together. I did change the E just to experiment as it's the string I have most problems with (it's due to my lack of skill not the string at this point), but unless you're a more advanced player this string set is probably good for years. I would only recommend to upgrade from these if you can really, actually, honestly hear and feel a significant difference and don't mind experimenting; you're either a professional, or don't mind spending just to experiment. If you have doubts whether this string set is good or not but it's not easy to spend 50-60 euro for a better one, first give your instrument to a better player have them try and then decide. :)
