Plaster, not stone/cement
Believe all the reviews that say this is brittle. I thought the cracks in others reviews were shipping errors. It’s not. We’ve used this fire pit 3 times and because it’s a fireplace, it’s been outside. Well, with the rainy summer season this thing has been water boarded. The top and sides have swollen and cracked and fallen apart. Cement/stone shouldn’t do that. This thing is painted plaster or some other mixed medium that should not be exposed to water and humidity. I have a wood cubby shelf by my front door in our screened in patio and that has held up better than this “stone” fireplace. Buyer beware, look elsewhere.

Very nice
Other reviews made me lenient but this is solid. Many fires in and not one issue. Looks way better than just metal. Now we just need to build a formal fire pit area.

Don't waste your money
Purchased this about 3 years ago, and it didn't even make it to this summer. The metal man inside completely rusted out and they dont make a replacement, or even one in the size that would fit this Fire pit. Definitely would not recommend. Not worth the money at all!

Great fire pit!
We liked that it is lightweight enough to move. Holds just enough wood for a nice size fire and easy to clean.

AWFUL and So DISSAPOINTED
I was so happy to receive this firepit and take it out of the box looking great, However, we had our first fire and the entire pit cracked Everywhere. All sides from top to bottom. AFTER ONE FIRE!!! Very upset because now I have to go thru the trouble of returning it and now I'm without a firepit. Horrible and now it becomes My problem. So so Dissapointef

Works as expected
The only challenge I had with this fiberglass base was that it arrived damaged. Way too heavy to shop back, so I'm dealing with it.
