Best Of Bowie

This is a fantastic album, with a good mix of old and newer tracks. I love every one of them, this will be played a LOT!

It is the best cd of David bowie

If you're silly enough not to have any Bowie, then you should buy this immediately because he's the best. I bought this for my Dad as he had a lot on vinyl that he couldn't play and this is a great collection for the car or whatever. The song choices are on the whole pretty good. There's always stuff as a fan you'd change on these things but they have got a great balance and it was nice to see a couple of his newer songs making the CD. Slow burn and little wonder are great additions. I'd like to have seen Thursday's Child or Survive from Hours, but hey. The only downsides I can see is they have included the AWFUL pet shop boys remix of Hallo Spaceboy. The original is such a stomping solid track and they ruined it, and because the PSB version was a "single" they lazily included that version. At least put another later period bowie track like Strangers when we meet, or the Budda from suburbia if you can't bring yourselves to not put singles on. The second annoying thing is Dancing in the street. That's a bloody awful version that nobody should EVER have to hear again. Of all the great songs they could have put, they choose that. Never Let Me Down, as an album is poor, but the title track is great. Put that on. ANYTHING but Dancing in the street! That aside it's great. Buy it and then all his albums,

A really good cd

David Bowie is arguably one of the most influential pop musicians of the age. This CD has a great variety of his music on it and for the price it is far cheaper to buy this CD than downloading individual tracks - plus you get better music quality on the CD than you do from a downloaded MP3. It is a double CD but unfortunately does not come with the lyrics! It is a digitally remastered product but has not detracted from the original tunes - they still have the same "sound" and "feeling" to them thankfully they have not been "played" with and altered. My only gripe is that they only have the "single" version of "Young Americans" on here and not the full version! To me most of Bowies best stuff is on the first CD and half of the second CD but for the price of this CD for 39 tracks that is outstanding value - with at least 30 of these tracks reflecting Bowie at his best.

Très bon album d'un grand artiste parti trop tôt

Besser gehts nicht. Da ist wirklich alles an Hits drauf. Von "The Jean Genie" über "Ashes to Ashes" bis zu "China Girl" ist alles vorhanden. Vielen Dank für diese wunderbare Zusammenstellung dieses Ausnahmekünstlers. Absolut Top. 5 Sterne sind mehr als verdient.
