Here Come the Aliens!

Just the most fabulous book for pre schoolers. Excellent story, rhyming and word play. Also gorgeous illustrations which give wonderful learning opportunities. Absolutely loved by our nursery children.

Love this book. My son had this book when he was small and I’ve just bought it again for my grandson. Fun illustrations and the poetry romps along. Still makes me laugh!

Our kids grew up with Colin McNaughton. Whether it was sitting curled up on our knee's on a cold winters day to get them off to sleep or sitting on the edge of their beds for a nighttime read, consistently the Colin McNaughton series where our go to books. Always the most engaging pace of story and the artistry always revealed new things as you turned each page. And now we get to share these books with anew generation of kids. They are ageless.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It's funny, has good pictures and is told in rhyme with a good rhythm. Children seem to love it and so do I

Visual and entertaining.

It was a book my older grandchild loved and I knew my younger one would love as well, the Aliens are funny looking rather than scary.

Lovely book for kids

Over the last 2 months this has become my granddaughter’s (5 year old) favourite book for bedtime reading. The pictures always prompt comment and the rhythmic nature of the words and the words themselves provide many talking points. I am always happy to read this book whenever my granddaughter selects it.

Children really love this book. They begin "reading along" with the repeated phrase, "The aliens are coming". The rhyming text supports listening skills. The illustrations are so much fun!

A cracker of a book for toddlers -- the drawings are amazing and the story builds up well. My son loves this book!

A volte i genitori comprano per i figli libri per bambini che piacciono agli adulti, e non ai bambini...questo libro sembra fatto da un bimbo per il divertimento che si immagina nell'autore durante la composizione. Un libro coloratissimo con una serie di personaggi buffi, raccapriccianti o strampalati...marziani - o chissà di che pianeta - d'una fantasia affine più a quella dei bimbi che a quella di un adulto e proprio per questo un successo clamoroso. E' un libro eminentemente enumerativo, ma non manca d'una storia, per quanto flebile: quella che basta a noi genitori per non stancarsi a leggere...anzi no, è un libro non da leggere ma da declamare, divertendosi insieme ai piccoli...here come the aliens!
