Having re-discovered the joys of cycling after a few years off, I decided to upgrade from ancient cleaning stuff for bikes and thought I would get a decent set to start me off. There is a good selection of cleaning products here. It is useful to have the box to carry it all in and there are useful compartments within the main lid for smaller items, such as spare fasteners, valve caps, small tools and cable caps. I was truly astounded by the effectiveness of these cleaning products, which make cleaning almost a pleasure and very easy. Everything is water-based so there are no nasty, smelly or greasy solvents and bikes come up like new. Compared to a previous brand I was using, the drivetrain degreaser is much more effective and when combined with a suitable brush to do the mechanical parts, they gleam. The pink general cleaner does everything else. The real surprise was how amazing the bike spray is. After washing everything down and doing a basic dry with a microfibre, this spray goes on everything except tyres and brakes. It drives out water, lubricates and leaves a silky smooth teflon finish that dries to a non-greasy shine. This then repels dirt so you can get away with a few rinse washes before another full clean is needed. It isn't cheap, but I really think it is worth it and it will do perhaps 8 full bike treatments before expiring. After applying a Muck-Off dry lube the bikes are smooth as silk and the drivetrain is so easy to maintain clean. The set of 3 brushes is of nice quality and useful sizes. My only gripe is that the box is not tall enough to store all the various bottles and cans upright, so they have to lie down, which inevitably leads to a few minor leaks. I tend to store some of the larger bottles outside of the box in a caddy now, for this reason, while keeping the cleaning tools and smaller items, like lube inside. I have used this set on a brand new bike, two we already have and one I have restored, all with great results. I am already replenishing a few of the contents with easy to obtain replacements for the originals. I forsee the brushes, lube, sponge and microfibre lasting well.

Good mix of products and all useful. Much better price when getting them like this rather than individually and they come with a handy box to keep it all tidy. Got as a gift for my husband and he was delighted with it. He's been using the Muc-Off for years but this is his first gift set and he'll no doubt be hoping for one every year from now on..
