Fournier Anne Stokes Tarot Cards 12cm Black

First of all...who does not LOVE ANNE STOKES? She is hard not to adore as a sexy, dark, illustrator, I will be honest as beautiful and great quality these cards are I would not recommend them for beginners, In a way it is good to try and go by your intuition rather than what you see which is a big part of tarot anyway, If you are going to practice and build your confidence these are quite hard to read if you are used to the Ryder waites, but please do buy them and practice and don't be afraid of them, but I recommend you don't rely too much if your a beginner, if your a pro who tend to go more by instinct anyways then they might not be so hard to use for you to use. Definatly worth getting as a collector but as having them as your one standard average pack may not work for you as they are not as depictive by face value. But yes absolutely stunning!

I cannot emphasize enough just how beautiful this deck is. This is my first deck and whilst browsing a few my eyes jolted to a halt on these. I sat in awe for a good half an hour upon opening the box admiring them, the only word that comes to mind is stunning. Absolutely stunning. They are a lovely size to carry around and look durable enough for me to fawn over them for many years to come! Perfect deck for anyone in love with dragons, unicorns, vampires, faeries and the like! Anne Stokes is an incredibly talented lady, I encourage anyone who feels attracted to this deck to get one for yourself, I certainly don't regret doing so!

I love the designer on the cards but I would love a big guidebook

I bought these for my niece for her birthday, and she absolutely loved them. I'm a fan of Anne Stokes and her Art work is beautiful anyway, but these cards are amazing. Well worth the buy. And one very happy niece

Brilliant tarot deck I love the designs and it's very high quality, lovely to shuffle and a nice size! Not ideal for beginners as the art isn't the original tarot art, but if you have a book handy it's brilliant!

Honestly, the cards themselves are beautiful. But what is disappointing is the “guidebook.” It was more like a flimsy brochure. While it was admirable that the book has many languages, as someone who relies on English I was disappointed over the misprint. A large chunk of English was missing and what was present was out of order, starting with little to no explanation about what card it was talking about. So confusing. I recommend buying this deck if you’d like to see splendid art. But to actually use the cards? You may have to get a book elsewhere or watch a video.

Beautiful cards and graphic - lacks the full instruction book and card descriptions which is a big downside. The paper ‘leaflet’ descriptions attached are vague and not helpful at all. I’m happy with my purchase but if you’re a beginner this deck is not for you.

Anne Stokes - and all her Dragons and the Maidens to come to mind - they want to be drawn and they seem to have picked on the right Artist. Now these cards, I love Fantasy Fiction - and the Vampire stories - look for the Stories of Patricia Briggs and understand better why I love the work of Anne Stokes so much. They seem to "Go Together" - look for Anne's ornaments - in line please - right behind me - but look for these cards while there are still some available - they are decently made and will MORE than just likely, stand years of shuffling and dealing - while you (?) make up stories for yourselves. I am really glad I got it first - and I hope you will find one for yourself, if you do not manage to get one - while there are so few left - sorry I shall not lend you mine - Blessed Be

En général j'achète mes tarots en bibliothèque ésotérique car j'aime ressentir les vibrations et sensations qu'il vont pouvoir m'apporter tant au niveau de l'esthétisme que sur les différents plans que je recherche. Pourtant celui-ci m'a tapé dans l'oeil puisque fan des oeuvres d'Anne Stokes, il me paraissait évident que même si l'absence de certains symboles risquait de faire défaut à l'iconographie, il n'en serait pas moins beau, et c'est le cas. Après tout l'interprétation se base sur la sensiblité propre à chacun, la valeur des cartes n'est qu'un support... Malgré le thème gothique des illustrations, il se dégage beaucoup de paix, de douceur et de sérénité de chaque lame, une ambiance fantasy qui prête au rêve et pousse l'imaginaire en des contrées où règnent la beauté et l'évasion la plus totale. C'est un jeu lumineux et coloré plein de chaleur malgré le fond sombre, et le livret explicatif joint est une petite merveille de poésie, de conseils positifs qui laissent la part belle à l'intuition. Les arcanes majeurs sont splendides, pleins de féérie, de grâce teintée de sensualité, dragons, licornes, sirènes et vouivres côtoient des femmes ailées en une cohérence troublante. Les arcanes mineurs ne sont pas en reste puisque le sang emplit les coupes des vampires, squelettes et têtes de mort valsent autour des deniers, les plumes angéliques voltigent autour des épées, et les dragons s'enroulent et s'imposent sur les bâtons. Une dualité lumière et ténèbres qui trouve son écho dans l'art de l'artiste qui le sublime avec finesse et sensibilité. (Attention toutefois, les cartes ne mesurent que 11cm et non 12,1...)

Jag älskar den här leken. Den är jättefin och lätt att läsa traditionellt. Tyvärr ger den inte mycket till fantasin om man läser intuitivt. En superfin lek i alla fall. Älskar den.
