Works for MIDI controller on iPad
Used it to connect my M-Audio Axiom 61 key MIDI controller keyboard to my iPad mini 5th generation with no issues. It wasn't compatible with my old iPad 4 though. So be sure to check compatibility first. Product itself comes in a presentable package and is quite sturdy. The lightning PD port can charge your iOS device while it is hosting a USB device through the USB port.

Simply working fine
You will find icon of attached usb storage under file option in iPhone and just select and video or photos and choose save to file and select your usb desk from drop down menu
