Simplicity Pattern Cutting Board-36"X60"

Since I moved to a small flat, I have had nowhere to cut out my patterns except on the bed. After attaching my pattern and material to the duvet many times, a friend told me to buy one of these. Fantastic. What a difference. It makes the job so much easier, plus there all the measurements on the board. Another plus is that is folds down to a manageable size and is stored behind my settee!! Can't say enough good things about this marvellous bit of cardboard. A brilliant idea and a great sewing aid. Buy it.

I had one of these boards as a teenager in the 1980's and having recently returned to sewing/dressmaking began to wish I had kept it. Finding this one was a real blessing and I have already used it successfully. It provides a much bigger area than a normal table or protects your carpet when cutting out material. It's large size also means you can spread your material out flat to allow accurate cutting. It is made of thick substantial cardboard which folds in a concertina style for storage and is lightweight. It has both metric and imperial measurement guides and also cross grain guide lines. It is an invaluable sewing accessory.

It was a much lower price than usual and I think I can repair it with clear tape, I don't feel it's worth the hassle of sending it back as the damage should not affect usage. It's a good size and will be helpful for laying out material and patterns ready for cutting out with scissors, (I have a self healing mat for using with a rotary cutter). This has very useful measurements marked on it in metric and imperial and grid and bias lines, obviously as it's only cardboard I will have to be more careful than with my other mat but I knew this when I purchased it and this is compensated for by the lower price and the much larger size when laid out flat and also the easier storage.

Saw this product on YouTube and thought why not. Arrived as planned no issues with the package as stated by other reviewers. Read the reviews and yes it is made of cardboard but folds away quite easy so no issues with storage. Most of all made my life as an amateur sewer so easy when increasing pattern. Well worth buying

Product was not as expected. Mesurements in description are in cm so I thought the grid would be too but it's in inches. Board is extremely poor quality, the ends are not finished or sealed and is just bare corregated cardboard. It's folded in such a way it does not lie flat. Add to this it arrived with the edges and corners squashed which is pretty amazing given the packaging was not damanged so clearly happen during manufacturing or shrink wrapping. It's very thin cardboard. I was having this as a Xmas present as my old Durabac board it almost 30 years old. I have to say it's in a better condition after all those years use than the one that arrived from Simplicity and I expected better of them. I wish Durabac still made them! I would not recommend this product and have returned for a full refund.

I have limited room for cutting, this is sturdy enough, yet light enough, to sit on top of my ironing board! Instant cutting area. I may invest in an extra ironing board to make it more stable but its been a delight to cut out at a good height that suits me. Easily stored also.

I purchased this cutting board to replace one I`ve had about 20yrs .I opened the parcel the board was squashed in at one corner,but the plastic wrap it was in was fine,so it must have been done before wrapping,when I looked at the board,which was still in its plastic wrapper,the ends of the board hadn`t been sealed so you could see the inner cardboard,the ends of the board get a lot of wear and tear with use and storage and I could see the ends becoming very tatty very quickly.so it was returned.
