Brilliant finish.
Great coverage easy to apply and no overpowering smell from this oil. The small print does say it is made from puts so maybe people should be aware in case of allergies. Used this before on beech work surfaces and oak and it looks fantastic.

Fantastic stuff
Fantastic stuff. My second purchase. Did my outdoor bench last year with it and its brilliant. Better than the other brands that say they last 10 years. Easy to apply, dries quickly and you can literally see the rain running off it. Cant praise it enough. Bought this again as i didnt allow enough to do the shed door.

Takes a long time to dry/cure properly but you get a beautiful finish eventually.
Easy enough to apply following the instructions. My first time using it and was not prepared for the length of time it takes to dry. It says on the tin to "leave for a few days to dry fully". It's been about 2 weeks now and still not fully dried and oil is seeping out still. I guess this is an indication of how well it penetrates and would not of been a problem if I wasn't working to a deadline. Obviously the type of wood and number of coats applied will affect the result. The wood I used is tight straight grained white oak and the item a walking staff as a Christmas present. I've resorted to using a fan heater set very low to speed it up and seems to be working. I would be wary of applying too much heat. One disappointment is I sought advice from Liberon using their online sight "Contact us" and got no reply at all. Will I use this again? Most certainly. I like the finish and that it is a natural totally non toxic product.

Will do what I need perfectly.
Great stuff. I bought this to treat this amazing paddle a friend made for me. The photos are before and after the first coat. The wood really soaked it in and is drying quickly. The wood grain has really fine out. The finish is obviously darker as you would get when treating with any oil. I have used grapeseed oil to finish carved spoons I have made which leaves a much paler appearance. This oil is good safe though so I'll be treating a few spoons in this as I like the deep finish it gives. The cap has a handy measure inside for 10mm and 25mm.

Excellent treatment for oak kitchen work surfaces
We have home made kiln dried oak worksurfaces in our kitchen and have always used this tung nut oil to seal them. Tung nut oil has many advantages over other oils - it is food safe, water repellent, it dries, it is heat resistant and lasts a long time. It gives a beautiful mellow colour to wood and provide a nice, non-glassy shine. I have read somewhere that it should be re-applied every 6 to 12 months, but in our experience it is not necessary this often. The majority of our surfaces have not needed any retreatement since last done 4 years ago. The only exceptions are the wooden draining board which is often wet, and the occasional place where someone has put done something which left a mark. So we usually just re-sand the affected parts and recoat them in oil. The rest is good for years. A couple of points worth remembering : 1) If you have an area which gets wet regularly (around sink), always dry it after you have finished your washing up - this will greatly extend the life span of the oiled surface. 2) Never, and I mean never leave dishwasher powder on the surface with brushing it off immediately. This stuff eats into the oiled surface and marks it very quickly. 3) Don't put wet/rusty cans/metal on the oiled surface as this quickly leaves a black ring.

Great long lasting, just a bit smelly so if your sensitive to smells just keep that in mind

Lots good.
Pretty decent size. I've put six lots onto a table. I won't give it a five yet. I want to see how it dries and if its quickly. Not sure on the durability for this yet. It's ready to apply it. Does seem to finish the table easily.

Thick waterproof oil.
Wonderful oil! I used teak oil before but Tung oil is thicker and most definitely more waterproof. Beautiful finish.

I specifically ordered this for a piece I was making for a wedding. Unfortunately it took so long to get it that the wedding was already over. I ended up getting another tung oil that arrived in two days and worked very good and was half the cost. I don't know about the quality of this product, it's still in an unopened can.
