Ronseal CKS125 125ml Colron Knotting Solution

Ronseal always provide quality woodworking sealents etc. This knotting compound goes on well and is quick drying.

A little goes a long way. It seals knots to stop knots showing in your woodwork and prevents sap leakage that can blister your paintwork. Great idea having a little brush incorporated into the lid. Easy product to use. I only used about a quarter of the tin coving 1 metre high by 20 feet long to knot seal tongue and groove prior to painting (one application per knot). Time will tell if this has worked. I'll update this review if there are any issues.

It seems to have solved the weeping knot problem on our pine garden office, - not too smelly quite easy to use, apart from the attached brush attached to the lid which was a bit silly. Repainted a few hours later and it now there is no evidence of the previous problem. Happy with the product, does the job and goes a long way, - treated a 2M x 5M garden office and still have a half tin left.

Arrived leaking - but did what it was intended to do i guess. We failed to do this on a not so hot day on our newly sanded windows. We had a knot seeping through, scrapped it off and sanded it down then painted this on. Waited for it to dry - only to notice that the sap had come through, a few more attempts later it was ok. Our fault i am sure for not sanding the knot down enough - but we almost made a groove where the knot was. Does the job i guess.

Have bought this product in the past - does the job and makes sure knots don’t show through over time. Just a little expensive.

I had trouble opening the tin it took 2 of us in the end, but it was worth the trouble really easy to use. Theres a very low smell that comes from it.
